Wuthering Waves has achieved a major milestone in the gacha gaming market by becoming the highest-earning title from outside HoYoverse in June 2026.
According to the latest estimates from GachaRevenue, the action RPG generated approximately $34 million during the month, allowing it to surpass both Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail for the first time.
While Love and Deepspace remained the month’s top-grossing gacha game, Wuthering Waves secured second place in what has become one of its strongest financial performances since launch.
The figures are based on estimates compiled by GachaRevenue and should be viewed as indicators of market trends rather than official publisher earnings.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover fuels Wuthering Waves’ strongest month
A major reason behind Wuthering Waves’ surge was its collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which introduced fan-favorite characters Lucy and Rebecca into the game. Rebecca was also available as a free login reward, while players needed special collaboration summon tickets to obtain limited characters, creating strong demand throughout the event.
The collaboration was supported by additional character releases, including Lucilla on June 13 and the rerun of Cartefia on June 18. Although these banners performed well, they still fell short of the record-breaking success of Emyth, whose banner reportedly generated around $46 million earlier this year.

Despite slipping to third place, Genshin Impact continued to post strong numbers with an estimated $33.34 million in June revenue. The return of Archon Mavuika alongside the debut of Knight Loen attracted significant player interest, although spending was lower than the game’s previous month.
Meanwhile, Honkai: Star Rail generated an estimated $28.46 million, led by the Mortenax Blade banner before shifting to new content featuring Phaenon and Cyrene. The title maintained its position among the industry’s biggest earners despite increased competition.
Elsewhere, Neverness to Everness earned nearly $13.95 million, even after seeing its revenue almost halve compared to May. Zenless Zone Zero followed with an estimated $9.76 million, while Arknights: Endfield climbed significantly after introducing new playable characters, reaching approximately $9.52 million for the month.
June’s rankings highlight how major crossover events and highly anticipated character banners continue to shape the gacha market. Wuthering Waves’ success demonstrates that well-executed collaborations can significantly shift player spending, even in a terrain long dominated by HoYoverse titles.
