Madara Uchiha. Just hearing his name, shinobis were used to shake for fear. Even we viewers know how big of a character he was. The moment he joined the great shinobi war, things started escalating.
I still remember the day when he was first shown in the series. Those goosebumps he gave were something else, like In the scene when Kabuto tells him he “increased” his power, and Madara says, “This isn’t the power of your creation,” or the scene where Madara summons a meteor,
You get a picture of how badass he used to be in Naruto. However, even though he was portrayed as the final boss of the series, he wasn’t. He was “fooled” by the Zetsu in order to get things done by him to revive Kaguya.
This was the big plot twist of the entire Naruto series since we never even thought something like this could ever happen. However, by the time he was killed, he was at the peak of his power with two Rinnegans and one Rinne-Sharingan on the forehead, plus the Jinjuriki of the Ten-tails.
We never get to see Madara fight in this state because the moment he achieved all this, he was killed by Zetsu. So, for the past couple of months, a debate has been going on on how strong Madara will be in the Boruto series.
New Boruto Chapter Introduces 4 New Villains Stronger Than Madara Uchiha
Even though Madara was THE strongest in the Naruto generation, that doesn’t mean he would still be THE strongest in the Boruto generation, too, since the stakes have gotten pretty high ever since Otsutsuki was introduced.
In this article, we will be taking a look at how strong would have been Madara in the Boruto generation. We will also compare him to the Otsutsuki.
How Strong Will Madara Be in Boruto?
The strongest possible version of Madara is the three Rinnegan with the ten-tails, but we still don’t know how strong he was in the state since he never used any power while beginning in that form.
So let’s take one step back from three Rinnegan and talk about two Rinnegan Madara, who we have a couple of intel on. The pretty much only thing that we see Madara pull off after he gets his second Rinnegan is Planetary Devastation.
The second that Madara pops into the Kamoi dimension using Kakashi’s eye, he rips out the Rinnegan from Obito’s face and places it into his own. The first thing that he does when he gets out of the Kamoi dimension is make a bunch of meteors.
Well, more specifically, he creates a bunch of gravity wells that pull up debris from the ground and make a ton of meteors, and then these meteors descend down to Earth.
Madara comparison to Nagato
And while we’ve seen a fair amount of people use Planetary Devastation throughout Naruto, like Nagato, Sasuke, and Madara, Naruto does actually give us a comparison of what Madara is doing at this moment to a previous moment of somebody else using Planetary Devastation.
When Naruto looks upon the meteors descending down to earth, he says there are so many more, and they’re so much bigger than when Nagato used them. Now, there are two important things to note right there.
One, the Planetary Devastation meteors are bigger than the ones that Nagato uses, implying that each individual meteor is bigger than anyone that Nagato ever created.
This means that the gravity wells and the amount of chakra fed into said gravity Wells to create these meteors is more than Nagato is able to into an individual meteor.
The second important thing to note here is the fact that there are at least 12 meteors. We only ever saw Nagato use one planetary Devastation meteor at a time.
Either it is in his Edo Tensei form when Naruto Itachi and Killer Bee combined their largest offensive attacks to destroy the meteor before it was fully formed or when Nagato used it to trap Naruto, as he was actively turning into Kurama.
In both circumstances, there’s only one meteor being created, so the fact that Madara is able to make at least a dozen simultaneously that are larger than Nagato’s individual meteor.
So, the two Rinnegan Madara are somewhere in the region of 15 times stronger than Nagato and both his alive and EDo Tensei forms, as Naruto fought against both of these forms and still remarked that Madara’s meteors were bigger.
Madara’s Comparision to Naruto & Sasuke
So you get the picture of how strong Madara was in comparison to Nagato. So, does that mean Madara is 15 times stronger than Nagato? NO. Madara did create dozens of meteors, but those were instantly taken care of by Naruto and Sasuke in the war arc form.
The one Rinnegan Madara was more powerful than anyone in the great Shinobi war until Sasuke and Naruto got power from Hagoromo. When they got the sage power from Hagoromo, they were as powerful as Two Rinnegan Madara combined.
You can watch their fight since explaining that would be a hassle. So, with this intel, we can say that Madara is slightly stronger than both Naruto and Sasuke individually in the war arc form after gaining power from Hagoromo.
So this gives of how powerful Madara would be with all three Rinnegan. Significantly stronger than Naruto and Sasuke’s combined strength in the war arc. This version of Madara is powered by the Ten-Tails inside of him, which is almost an infinite power source.
Madara Comparison to Otsutsuki
So, now let’s jump into the Boruto universe, where we have the Otsutsuki. While Kurotsuchi, Chojuro, Darui, and Gaara all went toe-to-toe with a literal Otsutsuki, I would argue that Kinshiki is actually weaker than three Rinnegan Madara, as he’s never eaten a Chaka fruit.
He is the lower ranking of the Otsutsuki in that duo, and thus, his entire life is dedicated to simply undergoing karmic rebirth, which, according to Borotu, actually might make you stronger because when Shibai strength was being explained, they said that he’s undergone karmic rebirth so many times and eaten so many chakra fruits that eventually he no longer needed a body.
But all know that Kinshiki is not as powerful as the three Rinnegan Madara. So where does Madara truly start to run into issues? Well, the answer is Naruto and Sasuke, obviously.
The discourse around this conversation is whether or not adult Sasuke would be able to beat three Rennegan Madara in a fight, and while public opinion on the internet seems to be split 50/50, we actually have an answer.
In order to talk about whether or not Madara would be able to defeat Naruto and Sasuke in their adult pre-nerfed forms, we need to talk about whether or not Madara would be able to beat Sasuke in a fight.
Because if Madara can beat Sasuke in a fight, then he has a chance at beating Naruto, but if he can’t beat Sasuke, then he definitely can’t beat Naruto. You understand the logic.
Madara Comparison to Adult Sasuke
So, when a lot of people see adult Sasuke in Boruto, they believe that he’s somehow gotten weaker at the lack of having two arms, so the chakra drain of the six Tomme Rinnegan has made him weaker than he was in the war Arc. And well, obviously, Sasuke, with two arms, would be much stronger.
So now, Otsutsuki is the strongest because every single Otsutsuki we’ve ever seen defeated was defeated in a different way. Ishiki dies because he runs out of time and his true vessel form.
Momoshiki dies of the big Rasengan to the face, and Kaguya technically dies, but we didn’t learn that until the fourth Data Book of a six-path Chaku Tensi.
Now, out of all of these ways to get rid of an Otsutsuki, technically, Momoshiki is the most difficult. I mean, Momoshiki was straight-up killed. With Ishiki, we just ran out the clock long enough that eventually, his soul gave up.
While that’s not easy against a foe as strong as Ishiki, Kaguya’s win state is by far, in a way, the easiest as all Naruto and Sasuke had to do to beat Kaguya was get their hand on her simultaneously.
So, Madara, with the three Rinnegan and ten-tails, has comparable strength as Kaguya, and Kaguya was defeated by Sasuke, Naruto, Kakashi, and Sakura while they were in their PRIME. Madara will win against them “individually.”
So, IF Madara with the three Rinnegan and ten-tails comes into Boruto “NOW” when Sasuke has lost his Rinnegan, Naruto lost Kurama, Kakashi himself is lost, and Sakura had nothing to lose in the first place, I think he would be THE strongest character in Boruto.
Ad if we compare him to Isshiki and Momoshiki, he is weaker than them since they are on a whole other level. So Madara isn’t stronger than every Otsutsuki, nor does he is the weakest among them. He is weaker than Momoshiki and Isshiki but stronger than Knshiki, which makes Madara an average villain for the Boruto Generation, where Otsutsuki and Shinju are present.
