Wipeout, the well-known competition series from TBS, returns, but the challenges will only become harder this time. The presenters of Wipeout 2 may be the same, but everything else has been changed to make the game more thrilling and difficult, including the obstacles.
This time, John Cena, Nicole Byer, and Camille Kostek will also serve as presenters. Cena may have already written a whole new set of jokes for the rest of season 2. The small comic exchanges between Nicole and John always seem to inject a little more joy into every episode.
In the relaunch, new competitors appear in each episode and attempt to finish the drawn-out and challenging obstacle course without ever sinking into the waters below. Only those with sufficient endurance and skill will be able to win the top prize of $25,000.
Plot Of The Show
People from many walks of life compete in the obstacle course-focused series Wipeout in an attempt to win $25,000. This humorous gameshow, which draws inspiration from the 2008 ABC original, showcases some of the biggest and most colorful obstacle courses globally.
This TBS adaption features only three rounds, with new courses added to each round, as opposed to the 2008 Wipeout’s four rounds. Each round’s degree of complexity varies. To win every Wipeout round in a short amount of time, a different plan and skill level are required. Even though there is one fewer round in the new Wipeout, it is still quite difficult and can even be compared to the 2008 series.
To put the contestants’ endurance to the test, the rounds include a lot of decision points and demanding multi-stage courses. This gives the TBS show a competitive edge, but it also makes for a lot of funny mishaps and embarrassing moments for the contestants.
The “Big Red Ball” obstacle course is the one feature that hasn’t changed between the Wipeout episodes on ABC and TBS. For many unsuspecting competitors, this course never seems to get old and always proves to be a difficult portion of the challenge.
