This cold-weather, unscripted reality show by Bravo returns with a bunch of new stuff that includes cast members, location, and lots of wild partying with terrible hangovers, drama, and hilarious consequences. That’s the gist of Winter House Season 3, a show whose debut episode we will explore with some spoilers for context.
Bravo’s going all-in when it comes to locations, adventures, and parties for the cast members of their unscripted shows, something that proves that the following, ratings, and traction of the show keep giving the network enough budget to keep the party going. As such, we’re eager to follow and see what all the fuzz is about.
Recap
The third season’s debut episode, aptly titled “Loverboys, City Girls, and Yachties – Oh My!” tells you a bit of what’s ahead in this Winter House iteration. We kick off in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, a new location after all the debauchery that poor Vermont join saw in the first two seasons. I guess the neighbors filed too many noise complaints.
In Steamboat Springs we see a very posh place, full of snow, and with plenty of room for all the cast members to go bananas when it comes to mixing alcohol, mind-altering substances (remember weed and shrooms are legal in Colorado), and outdoor activities.
The first ones arriving are Kyle Cooke and Kory Keefer. The dudes are impressed by the house, and they rang up Below Deck Mediterranean’s Katie Flood and Malia White, and the girls are eager to check out the place. After that, Danielle Olivera and Casey Craig arrive at the house. The latter called up Jordan Emmanuel. Then, we see Brian Benni and Alex Propson from Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
For the debut episode, we didn’t see Amanda Batula and Tom Schwartz, who are supposed to be confirmed in the cast.
It’s fair to say that most of these people are single. So, we could expect some hookups here and there. The cast has a dinner, and they talk about just that: Relationship statuses, one in which Kyle is the only one engaged. Then, the alcohol and mind-altering substances started to flow. The cast took it to the hot tub, and the first body to drop due to alcohol intake was Casey.
Alex quickly pursued Jordan, who was also interested in him. Alex wanted some private time in the hot tub, but it didn’t work out. He slowly advanced toward Jordan. When he got close, she turned away and rejected him.
That painfully awkward moment ended Alex’s night. Brian tried the same on Jordan, managed to say goodbye to her, and kissed her randomly as the party ended. Jordan gave the man the cheek instead of the mouth.
The Hangover Next Day
The way the Winter House cast gets back up after a crazy night of partying reveals a lot about them. Fresh as a daisy, Malia was the first to rise. Her kitchen was spotless. For breakfast, she prepared sandwiches.
Alex, meanwhile, was nervous about the previous evening when he woke up. That he didn’t remember what happened is fortunate, given his awkward attempt at a kiss with Jordan.
After the group finally came together, they set out on their first winter activity: tubing! The cast appeared to be getting along well with one another, and it looked like a great time. We’ll see if Schwartz casts a shadow over Season 3’s otherwise upbeat vibes when he arrives next week with all of his baggage.
