It was in August 2021 when Cube Entertainment made an official announcement of Soojin’s departure from (G)I-DLE. Her contract was terminated. What was the reason?
Soojin was reported to have bullied her previous batchmates. Briefly, we may address the same as school violence. In case you are wondering, she was in Waw Middle School. How could this be related to her exit? Well, the Kpop singer and also the agency denied these rumors.
Moreover, the actress Seo Shin Ae shared that she was Soojin’s classmate. The former got badly bullied by the singer, even though she didn’t take her name but joining the dots figured out all. Soojin’s departure from the group was pretty much controversial. It was not just her but also Soojin:s younger sibling who was reported to be bullied by her.
This wasn’t just the end. Soojin’s ‘bad girl’ behavior during her school days later came out to the public. She was reported to deface a coat of her classmate, scold one at the gym class, force one to memorize choreography for their graduation, etc. All of these incidents were highly dangerous and mischievous at the same time.
Knowing this, some of her fans started throwing harsh comments at her stating that they would not tolerate a bully getting idolized by the world. On the other hand, some of her die-hard fans claimed that the agency didn’t investigate well and failed to manage or keep their talent.
