As Gregg Berhalter left USMNT, his assistant, Anthony Hudson, was appointed as the interim head coach. It was a mandatory move. He continued his service with the USMNT until May 2023.
What was the incident all about? It happened back in 1991, and Gregg’s wife, Rosalind is involved. Well, everything started after the 2022 World Cup when the team got eliminated. Giovanni Reyna’s mother, Danielle Reyna, got frustrated with the comments made about her son. Giovanni reportedly didn’t get much time to practice. Whatsoever, his mother contacted the United States Soccer Federation and reported the incident. Following this, Gregg shared in public that a player (didn’t name Giovanni) had a “lack of commitment and poor attitude.”

Now, the good part is Gregg Berhalter rejoined USMNT on 16 June 2023. He is likely to serve as the head coach until the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It is getting prepared for a match between Canada and Mexico.
