His newest announcement makes Caleb the sixth Tar Heels player who is leaving the program this offseason after his team missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010.

Caleb Love is leaving UNC and is further planning to enter the transfer portal. The young athlete has himself confirmed the news while issuing a lengthy note of gratitude on social media.
While it is not known what led to such a drastic decision from Caleb’s side but he has further revealed in the social media post that he is taking time to reevaluate his career decision.

Caleb Love Makes A Big Announcement!
As Caleb Love has announced that he is leaving UNC, the young athlete further stated that his time at UNC has been rewarding and has inspired him to grow on and off the court while being extremely thankful to God for his journey. Love also took this opportunity to thank Coach Roy Williams for opening up the door of opportunity by recruiting him to play at UNC and allowing him to fulfill his desire to play for this program. Caleb Love further thanked coach Hubert Davis along with the coaching staff, for allowing him to play under their leadership the last two years and for constantly challenging him throughout the journey. The athlete added how he will always cherish the bonds that he and his teammates created over the years and the memories as they will last a lifetime.
The former UNC player also revealed that he is taking some time with his family to reevaluate what is best for him to continue to grow as a player and has decided to enter the transfer portal to continue his journey. He concluded by thanking the UNC family and community.
Hubert Davis Praises Caleb Love!
While Caleb Love is entering the transfer portal soon, Hubert Davis recently praised the young Ayhekg while pointing out that one of Caleb’s talents lies in his ability to get hot, along with his ability to make the contested shot. Davis further added that they did not go to the (NCAA) championship game last year without Caleb making shots against UCLA or without the athlete making big shots against Duke during the Final Four.
Davis stated that Caleb Love is the only guy out of the players who have the confidence to make it. Hubert couldn’t help but point out how he saw are so so many layers to Caleb’s game that he could present out there on the floor. Even former UNC forward Brady Manek praised the aspiring athlete saying how Caleb Love is an unbelievable player while adding that the thing he has been doing for them in the tournament has been unbelievable.
