The series is created by Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner. The series was produced under Electric Entertainment and PFI Studios by two producers, Jonathan Lee, and Steve English. The series has one season with twelve episodes in total, with each episode having a run time of 35 to 40 minutes.
The plot follows a group of humans, many of them of similar age, held together in a vessel named Ark, traveling to another planet, Proxima b, to figure out the last hope to save humankind. The crew involving the engineers, a doctor, and astronauts, are put in cryogenic sleep to save their energy with the food and water supply. There are two smart kids, Angus and Alicia, on board the vessel who come up with the idea for the crew to survive on the low food supply. The situation tests the crew’s endurance power and the extent of the occurred circumstances they can handle psychologically before breaking down. There is a hierarchy everywhere, and an aircraft is no different.
Due to this hierarchical order, there are several ups and downs that the crew has to go through to survive. Survival of the fittest is a term best suited to situations like this, as the one who is mentally, physically, and emotionally stable is the only one who will survive.
The vessel did reach its destination successfully after the wait, but with the sorrowful loss of crew members. The surviving members move on, leaving behind the ones who were no more there with them.
The lead cast of the series includes Christie Burke as Lt. Sharon Garret, a natural-born leader who took charge in the catastrophic situation, Reece Ritchie as Lt.
