The sequel to the hit comedy film Grown Ups has proven to be a massive success at the box office with a collection of $247 M with an initial investment of $80 M. Directed by Dennis Dugan, the film was warmly received by the public on the perception of it is as good as the first one.
The sequel of Grown Ups failed to make an impression on the viewers as the jokes were old and disgusting. The viewers were bored after a while with the lazy storyline, which made no sense, unlike the first film, which proved to be a massive success. Written by Fred Wolf and Adam Sandler, the film had a massive box office collection, but it failed to make an impact on the fans of the previous film.
Produced by Adam Sandler and Jack Giarraputo, the characters of the film are based on Fred Wolf and Adam Sandler’s perceptions. Produced under Columbia Pictures and Happy Madison Pictures, the film follows Lenny moving his family back to his hometown as he desires to live with his friends.
Once back in his hometown Lenny soon comes to the realization that he just isn’t over with his party lifestyle after he meets party crashers and old bullies. The sequel of Grown Ups was first released for the viewers to enjoy on July 12, 2013, with a run time of 101 minutes.
Theo Van De Sande did the cinematography for the film, and it stars Adam Sandler playing the role of Lenny Feder, a talent agent for Hollywood, Kevin James playing the role of Eric Lamonsoff, Lenny’s friend who works at a furniture store, Chris Rock playing the role Kurt McKenzie, Lenny’s friend who works as a cable man.
David Spade plays the role of Marcus Higgins, Lenny’s friend and a lothario. Salma Hayek plays the role of Roxanne, Lenny’s wife and a fashion designer. Maya Rudolph plays the role of Deanne McKenzie, wife of Kurt, and Maria Bello plays Sally Lamonsoff in the lead role.

Grown Ups 2- Premise
The film begins with Lenny and Roxane spending time together while a reindeer watches over them. Lenny has relocated with his family to Stanton, his hometown, where his friends from his younger days still live.
As Lenny wakes up from his sleep to see a deer looking at him and his wife Roxanne sleeping, he begins to try and get it out of their house. The deer continues to terrorize Lenny’s family until he lures him outside using a stuffed toy from his daughter’s collection.
Lenny is dismissive of Roxanne’s suggestion that the couple try for another child. Meanwhile, Eric is worried about Sally encouraging the streak of self-confidence in their kids, and Kurt gives a gift to Deanne, his wife, on the occasion of their anniversary. Marcus starts to make plans to spend the summer vacation with his estranged son but is intimidated by the teenager at every step as he resents Marcus for not being there for him.
Lenny takes his kids to the last day of their school, following which he picks up his friends to visit K-Mart. Lenny is persuaded by Kurt to throw a party for the first day of summer as the friends continue to discuss Tommy, Lenny’s high school bully. Tommy openly threatens Lenny at Becky’s dance recital he attended at the insistence of Fluzoo and Dante.
Charlotte agrees to go on a date on the last day of school while Lenny’s younger son struggles to deal with Duffy, his bully at school. The friends visit the same quarry Charlotte and Branden are at after humiliating Dicky, their old rival. At the quarry, the friends are confronted by hostile fraternity kids led by Andy and Milo.
The fraternity boys seek revenge against Lenny and his gang after they find their fraternity has been vandalized. Meanwhile, Eric apologizes to his wife for spending time with his mother and ignoring her. Marcus and Branden bond while Charlotte goes on a date, and Andre passes his driving test.
Lenny is informed by Roxanne that she is pregnant after Lenny realizes Roxanne hasn’t been cheating on him. Branden admits to vandalizing the fraternity house after Milo comes with his gang crashing the party held by Lenny. After a fight between the two, the film ends with Diacky and Lenny enjoying a meal together.

Massachusett
Massachusetts is a beautiful state located in the Northeast region of the United States Of America, used by the production crew of Grown Ups 2 as the primary location for filming the movie. Some of the other known locations used for the filming of Grown Ups 2 in Massachusetts include Lynn, Cape Cod, Tyngsboro, Swampscott, Lowell, and Marblehead.
The exterior of the film Grown Ups 2 was filmed at Saugus, located in Massachusetts. 204 Ocean Ave, located in Marblehead, was used by the production crew of Grown Ups 2 to film the scene with the deer in the house. The scene with Lenny chasing the deer out of the house in the open woods is filmed at this location.
28 Atlantic Ave in Marblehead was used to film the scene with a rolling tire where the group pushes Marcus in the tire. Marblehead Youth Baseball was used by the crew to film the scene with Greg getting his job at an ice cream house where Lenny’s childhood bully also works.
