Mike Brewer is back at transforming iconic cars with his beloved show, Wheelers Dealers. Airing its eighteenth season, this Discovery Channel reality series is a dream for car lovers. Brewer has been with the show right from the start and has been joined by other car enthusiasts and mechanics, including Edd China, Ant Anstead, and Marc Priestley, who is still with the show.
The show is a creation of the two ultimate car lovers, Daniel Allum and Michael Wood, though it is Brewer who has carried the show over the seasons. The show started with Brewer finding cars all over Europe, bringing them down to their workshop, renewing them, and finally, parting with them at a profit.
By the time season eight of the show rolled out, Brewer had expanded his business to America as well, and with the twelfth season, the show had set base somewhere at Huntington Beach in California.
Understanding the format of the show is easy. Brewer has the job of finding classic cars that could use some tweaking and fixing, a job now done by Marc Priestley, and over the sixty minutes of each episode, we get to see the car being brought to life.
Depending on the kind of car Brewer finds and the repairing it requires, the budget allotted changes, and at the end of every episode, we watch Brewer sell the final product to a worthy owner, usually at a profitable price. Make sure you read till the end to know more about the upcoming episode of the show.
The Plot
In the previous episode, we saw Mike bring Marc a Caterham 7, which needed to be prepared for a race. The condition of the car came as a shock to both fans and Marc, considering the amount of repair it needed. But the job had to be done, and who better than the genius mechanic, Marc Elvis Priestley?
We know the drill. Mike introduced us to the car, and we learned about its condition and what needed to be done. A feasible budget is fixed under which the entire repair should get done, and off Mike goes to find and fetch the parts for the car.
The job is surely easier said than done for both of them. But fans are left amazed every time these car guys bring out iconic cars with the same enthusiasm they had when the show had just started. Every time you think that the task might be difficult for our mechanic, Elvis Priestley, he ends up proving you wrong, somehow managing to make them even better.
Not losing the momentum, the upcoming episode will bring to fans yet another rare item, this time a thirty-three-year-old Peugeot 405, a large French-based family car that Brewer managed to get his hands on while in Portugal. Fixing this is surely going to be hectic, considering how rare its parts would be, a task that Brewer would find hefty.
But fans trust Marc and his magical abilities to fix any car the man touches, and we are sure this time won’t be any different.
