So yes, Herogasm really happened in Live action. The Boys Season 3 Episode 6 gave us the taste of Herogasm, which was very controversial in comics. Ever since the show was announced, The Boys comic book fans have been waiting to see have the show makers were going to present such a thing.
After The Boys Season 2 was completed in 2020, we also read the Herogasm issue, and boy, we were also excited to see the story was going to play out in Live-action. Well, the Live-action version of Herogasm was a bit different from the comics, but it was in a good way. So, we’ll go through exactly what Herogasm is in comics and what the show did differently.
Showmaker Kripke, in an interview, said that Herogasm Episode was going to be the wildest hour in the television series so far. Also, you wouldn’t be able to compare its sexual content with any other TV shows. You have to open up p*rn for a better comparison. This was a bit high statement from him because The Boys was already different than other shows. And saying this meant that standards were going to lift even higher.
See, we won’t be able to tell about the exact sexual details that happened in the comics or the live-action version, but you ultimately get it even if we say the things indirectly. So let’s go deep into Herogasm but not that deep like Termit.
What Is Herogasm?
Listen as we throw on you some comic book details. So Herogasm was an annual event in comics where 60 or so superheroes were gathered, and the common public was told that they were going on an outer space mission to fight some big alien guy. But yeah, it was all a fake. After all, it was Vought who was hosting this. Instead, those 60 or so superheroes used to go to a secret island for a Superhero Orgy. Vought also hired some prostitutes for the superhero’s kinky stuff. Obviously, they were paid high because superpowers were involved during sex. A lot of crazy stuff used to happen there.
There were two events that didn’t make it to the live-action version, and it made sense why they didn’t. First, we saw Black Noir sexually assaulting Hughie, like putting his thumb into Hughie’s, you know what. It was a pretty harsh moment for Hughie in comics, but it wasn’t necessary for the show. Because Hughie was on a different journey in the show, he wanted powers to stop Homelander and tried to do that. Including this scene would have just ruined his story arc.
The second event involved Soldier Boy and Homelander. They were really involved with each other. While the show has shown Soldier Boy in a different Macho Man way, in comics, he was a scaredy-cat kind of a superhero who badly wanted to join Seven. So badly that he accepted to have sex with Homelander. Homelander told him that it was a test to get into the Seven, but he was just using him as a sex slave; he was never going to let anyone like him join The Seven. The showrunners were going to show this scene, but again it didn’t fit into the show’s storyline.
Herogasm In The Boys Season 3 Episode 6
The show didn’t show the event exactly, but it was for good. First of all, it was just a small superhero sex gathering at the TNT Twins’ house, no fighting the alien guy drama. And they were celebrating the 70th annual Herogasm. Soldier Boy says that Herogasm was his idea, but we don’t need to believe him if it’s true or not. We saw different crazy shit there like Termint, aka Antman spoof, shrinking and going into people’s you know were. Then we saw Love Sausage’s big love sausage, an Iceman making Ice dildos, and an electric man giving orgasms to everyone.
In The Boys Season 3 Episode 6, Homelander found out that Soldier Boy was alive and that he was going after TNT Twins to kill them, so he sent Deep to find the twins first. But when The Deep arrived at the Twins’ mansion, he saw that they were hosting Herogasm. He wasted no time, got distracted, and started to have sex with an octopus, putting his you know what into the octopus’ you know were. The Deep was too deep into that octopus.
Like we said, in the episode, Soldier Boy and Homelander weren’t involved in sexual activity. But they were involved in some real kind of action, the good kind that we like, trying to kill each other. Then Butcher and Hughie (he was without his clothes) also got into the action, making it a foursome. All three pounded on Homelander, but he somehow managed to fly away.
