Assisting Shrub to apply to Cleveland College to study Arts is Father Joe’s main plot toward season 1’s ending. The most touching moments in “Flatch,” as is common, occur when the show pokes fun at the village’s odder supporting characters. There are bright sparks here and there that give a nice reprieve from the duo’s numerous pranks. That appears to be the cadence “Flatch” has developed as season two signs of progress, which is both a positive and a disadvantage for the show as a whole.
