Episode 6 of Watson, titled “The Camgirl Inquiry,” shows that the series is becoming more exciting with each episode. Two episodes ago, the show revealed that Dr. Stephens Croft, played by Peter Mark Kendall, has been secretly interacting with a camgirl.
He turns to her for emotional comfort after losing his fiancée to his twin brother. In this episode, the camgirl, Porsche, played by Sofie Kane, becomes the newest patient in need of urgent medical help.
During one of their private video chats, Porsche appears unwell. She tries to engage Stephens in roleplay, but he is more interested in genuine conversation. He convinces her to share something real about herself. She tells him that she grew up on a rabbit farm in New Mexico. This small detail later turns out to be an important clue.
Stephens realizes that Porsche is likely in Pittsburgh, where he is also located. He urges her to visit the University Hospital of Pittsburgh (UHOP) for a check-up. She refuses because she does not want to mix her online work with her real life. The next day, Stephens anxiously checks if she has accepted his referral. His colleagues, however, are more focused on teasing him about his secret love life.
Dr. Adam reveals that there is an ongoing bet about who Stephens is dating. To his embarrassment, not only his ex-fiancée Lauren is involved in the bet, but also Dr. Ingrid Derian, played by Eve Harlow, and Dr. Lubbock, played by Inga Schlingmann.
Before the teasing can continue, Dr. Shinwell (Ritchie Coster) interrupts. He informs the interns that Dr. Watson, played by Morris Chestnut, has a new assignment for them called Project 0. This task requires them to go through a backlog of unanswered medical requests.
Stephens, however, cannot stop worrying about Porsche. He logs in to chat with her again, but before he can persuade her to seek medical help, she collapses on camera. Her video feed goes offline. Stephens rushes to Watson for help. Meanwhile, Watson is busy typing on a typewriter. He is writing a document called “The Sign of Four,” which references one of the famous Sherlock Holmes novels.
Stephens confesses his online relationship with Porsche. Instead of judging him, Watson is surprisingly supportive. He listens as Stephens explains what little he knows about her. They notice a bottle of cranberry juice in Porsche’s background, which suggests she might have a urinary tract infection (UTI). However, the situation seems more complicated.
Watson decides to involve the entire team. Dr. Derian openly criticizes Stephens for spending time with a camgirl, but Watson reminds them all that Porsche’s life is at risk. They must work quickly to locate her.
Dr. Lubbock, who keeps exchanging meaningful glances with Stephens, immediately recognizes a vibrator in Porsche’s room. However, this detail does not help. They then notice that Porsche’s apartment is decorated with Shakespeare-themed items.
Watson and the Croft twins analyze Porsche’s home based on clues in her surroundings. They track down an address that seems promising. When they arrive, a young man tells them that Annie Wilson—Porsche’s real name—moved out three months ago without leaving a forwarding address.
Further research uncovers that Annie filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend. However, this clue does not lead them to her current location.
Adam suggests turning to Lauren for help. Stephens is hesitant to ask his ex-fiancée for assistance. However, Porsche’s worsening condition and Watson’s advice convince him. The Croft twins visit Lauren, who agrees to help. She warns them that legal contacts may not easily share client information, but she is willing to try.
The team notices that Porsche has a Corgi, which they assume is named after a Shakespeare character. Lubbock, Derian, and Shinwell try guessing different names. Watson eventually says “Brutus,” and the dog reacts. Instead of helping them see the address on his collar, Brutus jumps off the couch, knocking the camera to the side. This accident helps them spot a letter in the background addressed to Kathryn Pertuchio.
Shinwell searches for Kathryn Pertuchio’s name in the city records. He finds only one match. The team immediately calls 9-1-1 and provides her address. Emergency responders arrive just in time to take Kathryn to the hospital.
Despite receiving antibiotics, Kathryn’s condition does not improve. The team scrambles to find out what else could be making her sick. A call from Kathryn’s mother provides a crucial clue. She confirms that Kathryn grew up on a rabbit farm and recently visited home. During her visit, a rabbit bit her.
Watson and the interns quickly realize that Kathryn contracted the plague from the rabbit bite. The only reason she survived this long is due to a rare genetic mutation that made her partially resistant to the infection. Now that they have a diagnosis, they begin the correct treatment. Stephens stays by Kathryn’s side, waiting for her to wake up.
When Kathryn finally regains consciousness, she is incredibly grateful. She admires the effort Stephens put into saving her life. She is also surprised that he told his coworkers about their online relationship. She wonders what happens next, but Stephens seems confident that things have changed for him.
He no longer needs a secret online relationship. This moment raises questions about whether they will show a relationship in the real world or if Stephens will move on. Meanwhile, the episode also leaves room for a potential romance between Stephens and Lubbock.

Personal Struggles and Relationship Tensions
Dr. Lubbock spends much of the episode trying to convince Dr. Derian to celebrate her birthday. However, Derian firmly refuses. She views her birthday as a private matter and does not want any celebrations. Lubbock ignores this and surprises her with a cake, but the gesture backfires.
Derian becomes upset and accuses Lubbock of forcing her own desires onto others. Meanwhile, Lubbock faces pressure regarding her fake engagement. A slip-up leads her to accidentally refer to her fiancé as her boyfriend. This moment makes her rethink her choices, and she ultimately decides to break up with him.

However, instead of calling Stephens after her breakup, Lubbock calls Derian. She does not want to be alone, but Derian insists on solitude. She eats her unwanted birthday cake while sitting alone on a rock by the shoreline. Derian remains the most distant character in the group, making her difficult to understand or connect with.
Watson’s Hidden Struggles
As the episode ends, Shinwell delivers a new prescription to Watson. The medication, once again, has been tampered with by Moriarty (Randall Park). Watson thanks Shinwell for helping him, unaware that Shinwell is betraying his trust.
For the first time, Watson opens up about Sherlock Holmes. He tells Stephens about Sherlock’s past relationship with Irene Adler and his housekeeper, Mrs. Hudson. Watson reflects on how he failed Sherlock during their final encounter with Moriarty. He still blames himself for Sherlock’s death. Shinwell reassures him that Sherlock knew exactly what he was doing when he went over the Falls.
The teaser for Episode 7 does not directly mention Moriarty’s return, but it is clear that the buildup is leading to something significant. Watson is finally beginning to take control of his past and present challenges, making the upcoming episodes even more intriguing.
A Turning Point for Watson and His Team
Episode 6 of Watson delivers an intense mix of medical mystery, personal growth, and relationship shifts. The story revolves around Dr. Stephens Croft’s connection with Porsche, a camgirl who suddenly falls ill. His deep concern for her well-being pushes him to seek Watson’s help, leading the entire team into a race against time to save her life.
Through clever detective work, they uncover her real identity as Kathryn Pertuchio and eventually diagnose her with the plague, a rare but deadly disease. The discovery not only showcases the team’s investigative skills but also highlights their ability to work under extreme pressure.

Beyond the medical case, the episode explores personal relationships in unexpected ways. Stephens realizes that his reliance on an online relationship has been a way to cope with his past heartbreak.
By the end of the episode, he appears ready to move forward, though it remains unclear whether he will pursue something real with Kathryn or show the growing chemistry between him and Dr. Lubbock. Meanwhile, Lubbock’s breakup and her emotional call to Dr. Derian hint at complex feelings that could develop into something deeper.
