Axion joins Hillis in her walk, and he tells her that the monster’s appearance is due to an earthquake close to the camp. He adds that these monsters’ appearance is sure to make the people even more anxious as they haven’t recovered from the river evaporation incident.

Hillis looks at all the monsters lying around and feels thankful that Axion arrived at the place when he did, as she would have used her powers to kill everyone otherwise. She thinks about the Man who shot the arrow at her earlier and wonders if he was aiming at the monsters or if he was a mutant who reacted to her powers. Hillis fears that if the Man from earlier were a mutant, then it would mean that the story has changed somehow because Mutants should have appeared later.

Hillis notices that Axion has been quiet since Xenon showed up with the strange relic. Axion orders his subordinate to take all the monster carcasses to Kalikia.

He also warns his subordinate to always be wary while handling the carcasses, as Kalikia’s blood is related to Mutant. Axion doesn’t explain further about Kalikia’s blood as it would cause unnecessary complications.

Hillis approaches Axion and tells him she is going to the Seine River. Axion’s subordinate gets away from the two of them as he doesn’t want to interrupt. Axion insists on going along with Hillis because he thinks the forest is too dangerous due to the recent appearance of monsters. Hillis agrees to take Axion along with her.

A mysterious person watches all these events unfold from a distance and then goes to Christian’s mansion to report everything he sees. The Man tells Christian that rumors have been circulating regarding Hillis, which piques Christian’s interest, so he asks him to explain further.

The Mysterious Man says that when the hunting grounds were mobbed by monsters, Hillis and Xenon appeared out of nowhere even though they were in the middle of a battle.

The Man further adds that all the monsters bowed before Hillis as soon as she appeared, or so he heard. Christian considers all of this nonsense until she learns about the rumor that the Head of Inoaden herself summoned the monsters. Christian gets visibly furious, which scares his informant for a bit.

Christian asks the informant to leave and then sits down on his chair to think about this issue. Christian wonders if Terzo does all this, but it still doesn’t explain the rumors about Hillis. He also recalls Terzo’s request to save Violetta, which doesn’t make sense as the two are rivals. Christian scratched his head as he couldn’t make anything out of the information.

Christian then decides to check up on the other house members, so he arrives in the main hall. Everyone is discussing something, so he asks them to tell him about it. Everyone goes silent after looking at Christian when suddenly a voice comes from a distance. Christian looks up and finds Gabriella standing in the distance, crying.
