Episode 5 of Rising of Sheild Hero began with Ost Hourai having conflict with her feelings. She is doubting the Tortoise Spirit’s way of “saving” the world. Ost thinks that how will killing people and taking their smiles away will save the world? This inner feeling conflict is seen all the way through the Episode. Ost wonders should a familiar like her have feelings? Then the Episode begins where it left off in Episode 4. The shield hero and his gang meet Glass and the other heroes from another world. Sheild Hero learns that the one who is controlling the Tortoise Spirit is for his benefit.

The heroes from another world suggest that they must join forces to defeat the one who is controlling the Tortoise Spirit. However, Naofumi declines the offer saying that he won’t join forces with someone he might eventually have to kill. Both the party go on a separate way to destroy the heart of Tortoise Spirit. Ost Hourai is leading the Shield Hero party, and they end up at a place with an hourglass. Ost says that memories are coming back to her, and this Hourglass is the indication of souls that Tortoise Spirit has gathered. When the Hourglass will be full, it will create a barrier around the world to protect it from the waves.

Kyo Ethnina

When the Shield Hero party arrives at the place where the heart of the Tortoise spirit is, a mysterious figure comes out. He introduces as a wielder of the Book Vassal Weapon, and his name is Kyo Ethnina. After Kyo disappears, the gang fights with the heart of Tortoise Spirit and eventually destroys it, and with it, Ost Hourai falls unconscious. Then Ost has some flashbacks about the Tortoise spirit. She wakes up with a mark on her chest, similar to a mark of the slave.

As Tortoise spirit is about to wake up, Ost takes the gang to her deepest depths with a spell that opens a hole. There too, they find Kyo, and he says that Ost Hourai is herself the Tortoise Spirit, and if they want to stop Tortoise, then all they need is to kill Ost.
