Tournament Of Champions Season 4 Episode 7: Release Date, Spoilers & How To Watch

The most recent installment of the program was filled with suspense and fine cuisine. For the first round of the fights from the previous show, some familiar and unfamiliar faces fought ferociously inside a restaurant. Quick reasoning, adaptability, and ingenuity were required in this situation, and some failed to adapt.

The couscous in Tiffany Derry’s dish was a point of contention for the judges, despite the dish’s overall excellent texture. The steak was a decent dish, but it might have been even better if it had been cooked more effectively.

Chef Mei ultimately prevailed and advanced to the next round. She received the best score in season 4 of the Tournament of Champions for this victory. Chef Mei seems to be in a strong position to advance in this competition based on her first two battles. She might be able to maintain the pace, but only time will tell.

Recap

Tobias Dorzon squared off against Karen Akunowicz in round two. They used a candlelit supper, filet mignon, a rotisserie oven, and crab meat. This conflict was a repeat of the previous year. Chef Karen created a feta and crab spanakopita using filet and crab sauce. The rotisserie used filet fat to cook the scallions. The reviewers liked how the dish felt seductive and had a touch of old-world romance.

Chef Tobias served a grilled filet with a white wine crab marinade. The dish was nice, but the reviewers didn’t think it was inventive. The romantic meal failed to win over the judges because there was too much beef on the plate, and it wasn’t quite as pretty as it should have been.

Chef Karen atoned for her defeat from the previous year by triumphing in this one. Another top contender has lost. As a result, Jet Tila is the final top seed still alive. Former Top Chef competitors Chef Joe Sasto and Shota Nakajima squared off in the third match. This conflict had one of the night’s most memorable statements even before it started.

The dishes had some flair, even though the criteria appeared simple. Halibut, hanger steak, beef tenderizer, and takeout were necessary ingredients. Katsu Sando, a fried hanger steak with salmon and a crunchy salad, was prepared by Chef Shota.

The evaluators appreciated the sandwich’s excellent texture. Even though the halibut was a little misplaced and could have used a bit more ginger, the overall dish captured the motif and won over the judges. Chef Joe prepared a Dan Dan noodle meal with hanger steak and a fish egg roll with spicy aioli and duck sauce.

The judges praised the eggroll’s playful nature, but there were too many noodles compared to the hanger steak. The meal, as a whole, seemed a little too expensive for takeout. The second eighth-place seed to advance to the Elite Eight is Chef Shota, who secured another victory. Chef Britt may be the Cinderella tale, but given his current performance, Chef Shota may have merited a higher seeding.

Stephanie Izard faced off against the previous Tournament of Champions champion, Maneet Chauhan. Anyone was eager to see how the two renowned chefs would step up their game in this competition. Dover sole, pestle, and lunch specials were required for this task.

Given the depth of knowledge that the two chefs possessed, this subject wasn’t too challenging for them. Maneet prepared bunny chow and Dover sole broth. A bowl of curry is served inside a piece of bread in the South African street cuisine known as “bunny chow.” Chef Maneet prepared lamb patties with a tikka masala gravy.

The soup, however, required more Dover sole; simply adding some flaked fish to the broth would have been a wise move. Overall, the remainder of the dish was well received. The distinction in the night’s final contest came down to presentation. Chef Maneet advanced to the Elite Eight after winning that segment. Chef Stephanie was very upset.
