Participants travel to the Irwindale Racetrack in Los Angeles, in which they had cooperated to conduct a racing car pit halt as quickly as possible. The teams needed to set up a watering system for agriculture fields. The historic Los Angeles venue The Wiltern hosted competitions amongst teams to build up an illumination grid. A sizable car park had to be resealed by teams later on. The final 5 independent contestants participated in the final squad task for a chance to take part in the grand finale. The remaining crew members engaged in a variety of competitions that put their athletic stamina and life abilities to the test.

Twelve fresh members of the crew are welcomed by presenter Phil Keoghan onto Catalina Isle located off the coastline of South California, for their first solo challenge, participants must construct a cement concrete barrier. Members of the crew go to a plantation for plants where they create intricate planter boxes as part of their assignment.
