Do we need motivation in our lives? We all go through some tough times at least once in our lives when we don’t feel like getting back up. But, there are also times when we get tired of crying and feeling down all the time. There are times when we get tired of giving up. We get the feeling of getting back on our feet with a little motivation. No one can imagine what a little motivation can do to turn our life back on track. People often say, “It’s easier said than done”.

But some words have the power to help us take charge of our lives. If few words can make such an impact, then imagine what an anime with a motivating story can do. When you find relatable characters struggling to overcome their fears, but they choose not to give up, it gives us the strength to do the same.

We all are suffering in our lives, one way or another.  But we can’t just stay down forever. Somebody somewhere is depending on us. And we need to get back up, for them and ourselves. So, here’s the list of Top 10 Anime Series You Need To Watch To Motivate Yourself.

1. Naruto

What would you do when everyone hates you, and nothing goes according to you? We usually feel like giving up when nothing goes as we wish to do. We feel like running away when we realize that no one loves us. Isn’t this what we usually do? But, Naruto will teach us to take a different path. He’ll teach us to never give up no matter how bad the situation gets.

Even when the entire village hates Naruto, he keeps working hard to be acknowledged by everyone. With a little help and support from people like Iruka sensei, Kakashi sensei, and Jiraiya, he keeps moving forward all alone. He keeps moving forward until people started following him one day. And after that day, he started leading them.

The journey of Naruto will make us realize that our life isn’t that bad. All we need to do is try harder without giving up. It’s not like you’ll die if people will hate you. All you need to do is work on yourself so hard that people will start looking up to you. Naruto started from nothing, and today he has a beautiful family. And by family, Naruto means not only his own family but also every single one in the village.

2. My Hero Academia (Boku No Hero Academia)

We all used to dream of becoming heroes when we were kids, didn’t we? What happened to that dream? A lot of people will say ‘Reality’ happened. Do we need powers to become a hero? Let Izuku Midoriya teach you a few things. Even without Quirks, he never stopped dreaming about becoming a hero. Most people will say that is a hopeless dream. But, just because he never gave up on his dream, today he is the disciple of Number 1 Hero ‘All Might’.

That day, he could have just accepted his fate that he can never become a hero and give up on his dream. But, his body didn’t allow him to give up. His body moved faster than his brain could react, and he jumped to save Bakugo. And that’s what makes you a hero. That right there is true motivation. Even without anything, you have to find everything for yourselves.

You don’t need powers to become a hero. All you need is the will to stand up against the wrong happening in front of you. Powers don’t make you a hero. It is quite possible that people will give up on you. But, you must never give up on yourself. You might not realize what you are capable of, but you should never underestimate yourself. We are sure  Koro-sensei will say the same. It doesn’t matter if anyone is with you or not, but Koro-sensei will always back you up and support you until you start believing in yourself again. You need to find yourself in this lost world. Everyone will try to prove that you are useless. But, you need to prove all of them wrong. 4. One Piece

You might think, how is ‘One Piece’ a motivational anime. But it actually is. Every single member of ‘Straw Hat Crew’ will teach us something that will help us grow in real life. Such as, Sanji taught us to value the importance of food, and Robin taught us that it is okay to ask for help.

Everyone loses something or someone in their lives. But, what’s important is to focus on what you still have instead of what you lost. That’s life. If you keep letting your past losses hold you back, then you can never move forward. And if you can’t move forward, you can never achieve your dreams. So, no matter how hard you fall, you should always learn to get back up. After all, there’s no shame in falling down, as long as you get yourself back up. That’s what Luffy and Zorro taught us.

Sometimes, suffering can also work as motivation for us. We just need to look at it the right way.

When you are feeling down, all you need are these Haikyuu boys to lift your spirits up. Haikyuu has taught us that appearance doesn’t matter. If you made up your mind to do something, then no one can stop you. Watching little Hinata go up against the big boys and defeating them makes us realize that nothing is impossible. He makes us believe in ourselves. Not just Hinata, but each player in Haikyuu teaches us some important lesson. One of the common lessons that each team teaches us is that you can’t fight alone. If you want to win in life, you have to trust your friends and fight together against your challenge.

Losing is natural. Losing doesn’t mean you are a failure. But staying down after losing is what makes us a failure. So, get back up and prove the world wrong. Proving the world wrong by succeeding in front of them feels very satisfying.

6. Gintama

When things go wrong, it’s usual to feel sad. But, it takes courage to laugh at your sadness. The crazy trio of Gintoki, Kagura, and Shinpachi will teach you to laugh even when you are down. And by down, we mean all the way down. Being unemployed for years, down. Having no reason to live down. And imagine laughing at things like these. If you learn to laugh at problems like these, no one can ever make you cry again. Gintoki has his dark past, Kagura has her family issues, and Shinpachi has a lot of responsibilities that keep getting heavy for him every day, yet they never miss a chance to make you laugh. Even when their lives are this much messed up, they never leave each other behind.

You either move forward together, or you stay back with each other. But always with a smile on your face. And that’s all the motivation you’ll need.

7. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (OreGairu)

Don’t you ever feel like you know more than everyone else, yet you can’t do anything fruitful about your life? Whereas the ones who have no clue about what’s going on around them seem happier than you. Hachiman Hikigaya is a loner just because he knows about life more than anyone else. Nobody likes to hear the truth because the truth is always bitter. And that’s why he’s all alone because he speaks nothing but the truth. So, if you feel that you are all alone, then it is quite possible that you know more than others, and people don’t like that about you. But, Hikigaya is okay being alone. He accepted himself the way he is. So should you. You don’t need anyone’s approval. All you need is to accept yourself.

When you feel like it’s all over, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is the end. It could simply mean that one chapter of your life is over, and now it’s time to move on to the next chapter of your life. When the war was over, and Violet couldn’t find Major Gilbert with her, she felt like she had no purpose left in her life. But, she did find some motivation to move on and become an auto memoir doll. It wasn’t her expertise as she couldn’t express her own feelings properly, but she worked hard on herself. And she did become someone who could understand other’s feeling and write it so well that could make you cry.

In the end, she did find her Major Gilbert back. Now, imagine if she would have given up on herself long ago, would she be able to marry him? So, never give up on yourself. Daikichi and Rin are two different people of different ages. Yet, both are similar, as they both are alone. Rin is an illegitimate child of Daikichi’s grandfather. One of the best things that this anime taught us is that we are not completely alone. There are always people who are there for us to support us. We just need to look for them. The way these babies care for everyone will heal any broken heart. We don’t know about motivation, but this anime will definitely put a smile on your face and make you look at the world in a way you never have before.
