TimTheTatman has revealed that he turned down a six-figure offer to return to ARC Raiders, saying his frustration with Embark Studios’ extraction shooter was strong enough that even a substantial paycheck could not convince him to play it again.
The streamer made the revelation during a September 2 livestream after discussing his experience with the game and his decision not to participate in a promotional campaign. According to Tim, the offer would have required him to return to ARC Raiders for a sponsored stream, but he ultimately declined it.
TimTheTatman Explains Why He Turned Down the Offer
Tim said he did not want to accept the deal after previously criticizing ARC Raiders and potentially give viewers the impression that he was returning simply because he was being paid. He also admitted that his personal frustration with the game had left him with little desire to play it again.
“I did say no to six figures with Arc Raiders, I did. I said, ‘no thank you,’”

Tim explained during the stream. He later described the extent of his frustration by saying,
“That game frustrated me so much that I never want to play it ever again.”
Tim did leave the door open for an unusually large payday, however. He joked that if the offer had reached seven figures, he would have been willing to return for a sponsored ARC Raiders and Subway stream.
The comments quickly attracted attention online, prompting Tim to address the reaction during another stream. He acknowledged why viewers were surprised by the reported amount, saying,
“I think they’re mad because I got offered that, and to be honest with you, I kind of get it.”
Meanwhile, ARC Raiders is preparing for its next major content update. Embark Studios has confirmed that Frozen Trail will launch on October 8, adding new content while the developer shifts toward fewer but larger updates. The update will introduce new gameplay elements, weapons, gadgets and other additions alongside continued improvements to matchmaking, anti-cheat and stability.
