NBC’s long-running reality TV show, The Voice, is back with its twenty-second season. It has already caused a stir with its two-part premiere with 8-time winner Blake Shelton failing to land a single contestant in the first half when the episode ended on a cliffhanger! Country/Pop singer Kate Kalvach was presented with the option of joining either Team Gwen, Team Camila, or Team Blake.
Episode 2, which featured the second half of The Voice’s premiere week, eventually ended Blake’s dilemma as Okie connections seemed to run deep: Kate, who had performed “Rainbow” the night before, kicked off with a nice little run after picking the country legend as her coach, leaving Gwen and Camila pouting.
The second night of Blind Auditions, Episode 2 also brought out some incredible young talents, most notably a 13-year-old mariachi singer, Reina Ley, who did her Mexican heritage justice with her “buttery” voice, as a proud Camila Cabello declared; and a 6’4″ 15-year-old quarterback, Brayden Lape from an “all-sportsperson” family, who happened to garner a latent talent which charmed the audience, but mostly Camila, who had his back.
The Voice Season 22 Episode 3 Preview
Episode 3 from The Voice Season 22 is Part 3 of The Blind Auditions, where Coaches John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello, and Blake Shelton will all continue seeking to discover new talent and land them on their respective teams so as to coach them into becoming the next singing phenomenon.
Although NBC has not released an official preview, fans of the show are curious to see how the coaches and their teams fare as the show progresses and how they will utilize the blocking buttons to their advantage or otherwise, especially with the premiere week setting the bar as high as it did.

The Voice Season 22 Cast & Format
Camila Cabello is this season’s new addition as she joins the GOAT Blake Shelton, returning champion Gwen Stefani, and EGOT winner John Legend as a judge and coach. Coming to battle advisors, season 22 of The Voice will see Sean Paul helping Gwen Stefani, Jimmie Allen joining Blake Shelton, Charlie Puth grouping up with Camila Cabello, while Jazmine Sullivan will be on John Legend’s team.
Raising the stakes higher, there will be three artists instead of just two in each knockout, among whom only one can be chosen to move ahead. No celebrity advisors will be available to help guide the artists. Moreover, during the battles, each coach will have the chance to bring an eliminated contestant from another team to theirs and save one contestant from their team.
However, the basic concept of the show will remain unaltered where professional singers will coach and judge a range of contestants on their team with the ultimate goal of taking home the massive $100,000 prize money and, most importantly, a record deal with Universal Music Group, which is an opportunity of a lifetime.
