The Undertaker, a WWE icon with an unforgettable career, recently opened up about a storyline he wasn’t a fan of The Corporate Ministry.
Legendary Wrestler Shares Honest Opinion
In 1999, WWE was riding high, but some storylines faded over time. One such story was The Corporate Ministry, which was formed when Vince McMahon was revealed as The Undertaker’s “Higher Power.” This merged The Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness with Vince McMahon’s The Corporation, two rival factions.
During a recent podcast, The Undertaker admitted he disliked the merger. “I couldn’t push back much,” he said, “but I didn’t like it.” He felt The Corporate Ministry watered down the impact of his original Ministry of Darkness.
“We were pushing boundaries, even getting hate mail,” The Undertaker recalled. “But with The Corporate Ministry having so many people, it just wasn’t fun anymore.” He compared it to the nWo storyline, which he felt had a weak payoff.
The Undertaker has also expressed a desire for grittier content in the new era of WWE. One thing is clear: The Deadman wasn’t a fan of The Corporate Ministry, and many fans likely share his opinion.
