The Tutorial Is Too Hard Chapter 110: Recap
The moment of truth is finally here as Lee Yeonghee has clashed with Lee Ho Jae’s illusion in a decisive battle to clear the infamous 17th floor. A little throwback to chapter 0, Lee Yeonghee became the only person to join the hell difficulty after she “accidentally” clicked on it.
Since then, Lee Ho Jae has guided and trained her to catch up to him on the 60th floor someday. This throwback is necessary to know the weight this battle carries for both Ho Jae and Yeonghee. Ho Jae has provided Yeonghee with all the information she will need to defeat his past self, but this doesn’t stop him from feeling anxious.
Ho Jae’s past self-illusion is significantly weaker than his current strength meaning Yeonghee would have a clear upper hand in the battle owing to her extensive experience, or so they thought. The illusion somehow exceeded the expectations of everyone as he started to show skilled battle tactics at the start of the fight itself. Yeonghee doesn’t have time to just complain about this issue, and so she continues her battle despite the odds.
The barrier went down, and the illusion charged straight for Yeonghee. He quickly dodged her arrow and closed the distance. As soon as he raises his sword to attack, Yeonghee barely manages to slip away using teleportation magic, but this maneuver from the illusion gives her enough proof of his true skills. As said by Lee Ho Jae, letting her Guard down even once would lead to her instant death on the 17th floor.
Yeonghee shoots an arrow at the illusion, but he dodges again, but this time, she knows his tricks. She uses an explosion to blast her arrow and damage him. The illusion restores his balance and charges at her again, but this time, she reads his movements and easily blocks his attack. She decides to strike back by using her artifact, which sends the illusion flying away, but she ends up damaging her wrist in the process and falls back to heal it to be able to use her arrows again.
The illusion gets puzzled to see someone being able to read his movements so easily, and he starts to wonder if she knows him. He thinks about how Kikiri told him that the stage would be easy and believes she was making fun of him as the stage is way too difficult, even for hell difficulty. He looks at his broken leg and then at the arrow Yeonghee shot, which broke the surface with one hit; such an arrow would instantly kill anyone it hits. He activates battle focus on buying some more time.
The illusion thinks for some time and concludes that his opponent definitely knows him closely as she was able to predict his movements and attacks with utmost precision, but he can’t wrap his head around this concept, so he decides to ask her to reveal her true identity.
