In the previous chapter of The Stars And I, Xixing and Sinan have a wholesome day before Xixing leaves for her trip with her classmates. Sinan was sad to see Xixing go since they would have to be away for a week, but Xixing was quite happy about going on the trip.

She believed that it would be a great opportunity for her to make more friends and have a fun vacation. Sinan tries to show his affection physically by hugging and kissing Xixing, but she gets very flustered and completely blocks all his advances, making Sinan think that she hates him.
