The Santa Clauses, Jack Burditt’s Christmas comedy, returns for one more passable season. This program is a fanservice for those who were left wanting more after the 2006 movie The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, and it is inspired by the The Santa Clause film franchise.
The program tells the tale of Scott Calvin, an elderly Santa Claus who recently turned 65. Another thing that has come with this new age is the understanding that he needs to find someone to replace him at work.
Aware that he cannot continue to be our cherished Santa, Scott set out to locate a replacement who would be able to fulfill his duties to elves, families, and adorable kids while allowing him to bring his own family into the real world and start over in the South Pole.
Recap
Betty leaves early to return to the North Pole after witnessing Mad Santa on television with Kris, who was interviewed about his Santa theme park comeback. Santa still looks like Scott there, and he’s been acting strangely since Mad Santa’s snowball attack.
Fortunately, it’s only a transient situation, as he swiftly returns to being Santa. When Betty gets back to the North Pole, she eventually shares the entire Mad Santa tale.
According to legend, Mad Santa used to be a wonderful Santa but, fed up with greedy people, chose to follow the advice of gnomes rather than elves. While it may seem innocuous to send mischievous kids coal, his ultimate goal is to make those mischievous kids into nutcrackers.
Betty, Noel, and a few other elves decide to take the fight to the enemy because they can no longer watch this unfold. La Befana chooses to assist them even if they are unable to receive assistance from the Legendary (the Easter Bunny, Mother Nature, etc.).
She gives them a bag with goods from every Legendary, giving them the advantage against Mad Santa. La Befana chooses to abandon the Legendarys to aid the elves after creating a trap for both Olga and him (Legendarys cannot hurt each other).
Olga is also imprisoned inside the nutcracker that she transforms the Mad Santa into. But, Mad Santa is aware of every elf who betrayed him, which could cause problems for them in the future.
Betty consents to resign from her work due to this deed, but Santa wants her to stay. Cal tries to clear his head to find the Santa in the training vest after realizing he lost it. During the process, he discovers that Mad Santa is the owner.
Cal tells Sandra a falsehood, saying that La Befana has the vest. Sandra doesn’t want to see her after what happened in the last episode, but she goes anyhow.
The Easter Bunny is now some fruit, yet the two still have a conversation and renew their friendship despite the absence of the vest. But when Sandra finds out that Cal lied and departed the North Pole, everything is different.
He traveled to the Chicago region with the sleigh and two reindeer. When he gets there, he meets Mad Santa, Olga, and Kris.
Kris is prepared to give up after Mad Santa threatens to hurt Cal, but he and Cal are fastened to the wall with duct tape. Mad Santa transforms Cal into a toy because he is upset at his disregard for his father’s rule and his faith in him.
But the procedure causes him to lose so much strength that he can hardly stand. The amulet that Mad Santa lost the day he was transformed into a nutcracker is what he needs. After he obtains that amulet, all of his abilities will return.
