Margaret asks her maid to rip off Tina’s dress when the dance begins. Even the maid thought it was too much, so she suggested Margaret not doing it. However, Margaret got offended and told her maid to do as she said.
And when she screamed, Duke Clement overheard her. Margaret got so scared after seeing him coming from behind. However, Clement didn’t hear what she was saying. He told Margaret that he heard she helped the Lass.
Even though Clement appreciates Margaret for what she did for Lass, Margaret knows that he can see right through her and that he knows everything. Clement tells her that he understands she is doing it for her family and trying to rise up in the ranks.
Even though Margaret knows what he is talking about, she tells him she doesn’t know what he is saying, and Clement tells her she should give up on Reiner since Reiner is already head over heels for the lass.
After hearing all that, Margaret tries to leave the banquet, but Tina stops her since she wants to thank her for earlier. However, Margaret didn’t listen to her and exited the hall.
After all this was sorted out, some girls went Clement from asking him to dance with them, but Clement rejected their offer by telling them that he was already booked for that night. He then grabs Karen’s hand and asks her to dance with him.
