The 2017 jTBC k-drama ‘The Package’ is one of the k-dramas set in the west. From romance to adventure, it has everything. The k-drama is close to the life of the slice genre. What Is The Story of ‘The Package’?
‘The Package’ follows a 20-something girl Yoon So So. Taking a huge step in her life, So So relocates to France with her college boyfriend. While her college goes amazing, her relationship doesn’t. And that causes her boyfriend to come back to South Korea without her. Alone in France and working on her Ph.D., So So decides to take up a tour guide. Doing her best, she leads the “Luxurious Premium Tour Packages: 1 Week in France”. On another day at work, So So gets a new group of tourists to take up the tour.

The tourists include a single man named San Ma Roo who fought with his girlfriend before the trip, a man traveling with a younger woman, a couple who’ve been together for over seven years, and an older couple who’s always complaining about each other. Completely different from each other, the tourists are like a nightmare. But So So has no complaints and tries to handle everything like a pro. On the way, the solo traveler San Ma Roo is the one who starts getting on her nerves. But as the two spend time together, So So realizes the sparks she has with Ma Roo are unmatchable.
Is ‘The Package’ K-Drama Worth Watching?
In short, ‘The Package’ is one of the best k-dramas out there with a beautiful story and beautiful visuals. The story is a plus one for the ones who are too much into the genre of the fated lovers.
There are a lot of things in ‘The Package’, from the cliches and expected twists to the unexpected twists. According to the previous viewers, it also makes you feel like you are on vacation. While the k-drama starts off a bit slow, it eventually catches its pace and flows perfectly like a calm river. Along with focusing on the lead couple, the story also follows the supporting characters, i.e., the tourists. The k-drama takes us deep into the lives of the tourists as we get to know more about their problems that we couldn’t when they started the trip. Going through a whole life-changing trip, there’s a lot one can take from ‘The Package’. The characters are also beautifully written. They get enough focus and time to grow and develop throughout the journey. The OSTs album of ‘The Package’ is also one of the good things about the k-drama.
