The digital download size for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake has reportedly dropped to 24.54 GB on Nintendo Switch 2. The updated figure surfaced in the Nintendo eShop’s backend, replacing the previously listed estimate of 27 GB.

According to Nintendeal.com on BlueSky, the storefront is expected to reflect the revised size in the coming days. Nintendo has yet to publicly confirm the change.

Zelda Remake Requires Less Storage Than Expected

The revised figure reduces the game’s estimated storage requirement by approximately 2.46 GB. However, players purchasing the digital edition should still ensure sufficient space is available before downloading the remake.

Nintendo’s official store previously listed the game at 27 GB. The Switch 2 features 256 GB of internal storage, making download sizes an important consideration for players with large digital libraries.

The remake launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026. According to Nintendo’s official product page, the game features rebuilt visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, orchestral music, and modernised controls.

The remake also reportedly introduces additional content, including the Hall of Fallen Foes, where players can revisit battles against previously defeated enemies and bosses. The updated download size offers a little more breathing room for players preparing to return to Hyrule.
