CTW has launched Scimagic: The Magic World Is Bugged, Fix It With Science!, a browser-based roguelike RPG that combines familiar isekai anime tropes with scientific concepts and fantasy combat. Available through the G123 gaming platform, the game lets players enter a magical world as a young protagonist who uses scientific knowledge to overcome its challenges.
One of the game’s biggest attractions is its unusual cast of companions. Historical scientists such as Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, and Archimedes have been reimagined as original anime characters who assist players throughout their adventures. The game also draws on ideas from relativity, universal gravitation, buoyancy, and other scientific principles to shape its fantasy setting.
According to CTW’s October 23 launch announcement, Scimagic is free to play and runs directly in a web browser on PC and mobile devices, meaning players do not need to download a separate game client to begin their journey. Optional in-game purchases are available.
SCIMAGIC TURNS FAMOUS SCIENTISTS INTO ANIME COMPANIONS
One of the game’s most distinctive features is its roster of characters inspired by influential figures in science. Players can team up with anime-style versions of Einstein, Newton, Archimedes, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Werner Heisenberg, and James Clerk Maxwell. Each character is associated with a scientific concept, including relativity, universal gravitation, calculus, the uncertainty principle, and electromagnetism.
To celebrate the launch, CTW is giving every new player Helia Archimedes as a free character. The game reimagines Archimedes through an original fantasy design rather than presenting a historically accurate version of the scientist. The character joins players on their journey through the game’s magical world.
BUILD UNIQUE MAGIC ABILITIES THROUGH ROGUELIKE COMBAT
Scimagic uses a roguelike progression system in which players encounter new choices as they advance through battles. By combining elemental forces such as fire, water, electricity, and wind, players can develop stronger magical abilities and create different combat strategies.
These choices influence how each run unfolds, encouraging players to experiment with different combinations rather than relying on a single fighting style. Players can also collect equipment, strengthen their characters, and clear stages to advance the main story.
Beyond combat, character conversations and smaller events provide additional background on the companions and the world. This combination of customizable builds, character progression, and isekai storytelling gives the game several systems to explore beyond its central science-meets-magic concept.
Scimagic: The Magic World Is Bugged, Fix It With Science! is available worldwide through CTW’s G123 platform. The game supports PC and mobile browsers, requires no separate download, and is free to play with optional in-game purchases.
Players can begin their adventure through the official Scimagic game page. With its anime-inspired scientists, customizable elemental magic, and roguelike progression, CTW’s latest original RPG offers a different take on the isekai fantasy genre.
