The Law Cafe Preview
Kim Jeong Ho introduces himself in the trailer as a webtoon writer even before calling himself the “Monster Genius”. The trailer makes it seem more of a comedic composition with some romantic angle to it. The Law Cafe shows us how the two characters with contrasting personalities become closer as they begin to develop romantic feelings toward each other. Kim Yu Ri, the female lead, is a beautiful and genius lawyer with a four-dimensional personality. She is portrayed with a quirky persona, a complete “weirdo”. Even Kim Jeong Ho points out her weirdness, “Kim Yu Ri is nuts”.
But does that stop him from falling for Yu Ri? Spoiler Alert: it doesn’t. As soon as he sees her, as the trailer shows, he’s swept off of his feet. Kim Jeong Ho is currently a building owner who used to be a prosecutor. Kim Yu Ri and Jeong Ho seem to be former lovers who meet again and fall for each other. Yu Ri opens a Law cafe after she quit the Law Firm Hwang & Gu. Now it is only in fate’s hands to decide what future Yu Ri and Jeong Ho will build. The K-drama series takes place in a cafe setting and features the renowned trope of friends-to-lovers.
