The anime adaptation is being produced in collaboration with Zero-G and Liber. It is under the direction of Mankyu, Tomoko Konparu is doing the scriptwriting, Miyako Kanō is responsible for character design, and the music composition of the anime series is on the shoulder of Ruka Kawada. In an alternate world of Japan, the citizens have their past history related to the spirits. The main character, Himuro is a descendant of the snow queen or snow woman, which is part of Japanese folklore and he has powers and abilities that come from his bloodline or his lineage from the snow queen.
Then enters his very cool female friend named Fuyutsuki. She is so cool and pretty clueless to a degree and they have the best shenanigans because pretty much Himuro depends on his emotions. His emotions come out in the display of something involving snow or something involving ice. When Fuyutsuki said certain things, she does not realize how he affects him. It is the most beautiful and funniest thing in this anime.
Himuro can make ice, he can freeze things, he can make snow, while our female protagonist is just a cool personality wise and so they come together and we see their very episodic journey, especially romance in this anime. Himuro starts to develop feelings for her and he gets frozen up at times when he gets nervous or he will melt into a puddle of embarrassment.
It is sort of like, can he convey his feelings to her, or are they gonna be frozen standstill throughout the anime?
