Kang Ho, the protagonist, had been raised and brought up by Young Soon, a pig farmer and single mother. Despite her deep affection for him, Kang Ho believed she was a bad mother because of her strictness and rigorous attitude in his upbringing. As years passed by, Kang Ho grew into a heartless prosecutor as an adult, and he avoided his mother, unable to forget the past.
It was apparent that Kang Ho had to start anew with Young Soon, yet he found it hard to fix the scars that had been inflicted. However, when he was met with an unexpected accident, fate decided to turn his life around, and he was forced to return to his hometown and live with Young Soon.
Mi Joo, a woman living in the same village known for her warm heart and a strong sense of justice, was a childhood friend of Kang Ho. When his accident brought him back to his childhood home, he also got to reconnect with her after his injury, which resulted in a life-changing encounter for Mi Joo.
The Good Bad Mother Episode 13 Recap (Spoilers!)
in The Good Bad Mother Episode 13, Yeong-Jae starts off by explaining to Kang-Ho the real reason Soo-Hyun committed suicide rather than be captured by Tae-soo’s personnel. Because of the fatal occurrence he thought would have resulted in his death if he had reported it to the authorities, the former restaurant owner now lives in hiding as well.
Sam-sik, in the meantime, spots one of Tae-soo’s guards at the hospital and informs Mi-Joo that he must be protecting Ha-young. Then Yong-rak starts to fear. The murder case involving Soo-Hyun may jeopardize his reputation, and he finds it difficult to identify the “real” Kang-ho for the police because their CCTV footage captures him acting very differently from how he would normally act.
Gum-ja informs Sung-ae about Young-soon’s stomach cancer when she interrupts a village card game by complaining aloud about the similarities made between Sam-sik and Kang-ho, thinking that’s why she was reprimanded for making a clumsy joke about death. The pig farmer then is told by her frenemy to stick to her side and fight with them for the rest of their life. This prompts the two to embrace deeply.
In order to find evidence against Woobyeok Group on Cheol-su’s phone, Kang-ho, who is trying to persuade his trusted investigator colleague that he will now reveal his true self through his work, asks for a digital forensic examination of the former construction worker’s phone.
Ji-suk is then given orders to kill the prosecutor. The men Woo-Byeok had ordered to Jou-ri village to kill them are being repelled by Ji-suk and Mr. Cha, delaying their search for Kang-ho in the process. The police then show up, protecting the two helpers from harm.
The next day, Tae-soo is running for president, and as part of that campaign, he is running for welfare, but Kang-ho shows up and interrupts him. The Good Bad Mother Episode 13 ends with the two rivals staring one other down, leaving us on a cliffhanger.
