The Forbidden Marriage Episode 4 release date is out. But before we reveal the date and times of the upcoming episode, here is everything you need to know about the show’s premise. The show started on Dec 9, 2022, with a total of 12 episodes. The drama premieres every Friday and Saturday on MBC.
Lee Heon, the ruler of Joseon, was the crown prince seven years ago when his wife passed away. He still hasn’t fully healed from her dying. Since then, the royal family and government representatives have made several unsuccessful attempts to marry the crown prince. Additionally, the entire nation now abides by the geumhonryung rule, which forbids any single lady from getting hitched while the king is still single.
Many people are furious over the marriage ban. King Lee Heon hears about Ye So Rang, a woman who claims that the late king’s wife’s soul resides in the palace. Ye So Rang, meantime, is a con artist who asserts to have the ability to read signals related to martial harmony. She’s arrested and imprisoned where Officer Lee Shin Won works. In order to get away from Lee Shin Won, she impersonates a person who is afflicted by a spirit.
She mentions the presence of the late wife of King Lee Heon’s ghost within the royal castle during her ruse. She is then taken before the king, who asks her whether she can truly see the soul of his late wife. Ye So Rang poses as the late king’s wife in order to maintain her existence. Ye So Rang keeps spreading more and more outrageous lies.
The Forbidden Marriage Episode 2: Recap
In the last episode, we see that So-rang quickly becomes aware of the possibility that she may have to live the rest of her life in the shadow of the deceased crown princess, and remorse soon sets in as she realizes how serious of a predicament she has put herself in. This is where we came to the end of our debut week, which was just as enjoyable as I had anticipated.
While Kim Young-Dae does not really give it his all as the sad widower monarch, Park Joo-Hyun truly sells his act as a grade-A scammer. Kim Young-Dae also has excellent comedic timing and mannerisms, particularly with his eyes. So-rang feels guilty as soon as she realizes that she may have to live the rest of her life in the shadow of the deceased crown princess because of how serious the predicament she put herself in has become.
