Lewis Pullman made headlines with the first trailer for Thunderbolts, and now he is in another trailer for a very different movie. Utopia has released the first trailer for The Line, a film about university students who live without fear or consequences.
The trailer features Alex Wolff and Austin Abrams as frat boys who often get into trouble but are always saved by their house leader. The Line will have its world premiere in New York on October 18 and will be available worldwide on October 25. Halle Bailey, Bo Mitchell, and the late Angus Cloud also star in The Line and appear in the first trailer.
Zack Purdo, Alex Russek, and Ethan Berger wrote the script for The Line, and Berger is directing the film. Russek and Purdo will make their feature writing debut with this project, while Russek has previously worked on several short films.
Although this is Berger’s first time directing, he has experience as a producer on episodes of the documentary series More Than an Athlete, which is about LeBron James’s life on and off the court. He also worked as a music consultant on the 2007 crime thriller The Air I Breathe, which starred Brendan Fraser, Kevin Bacon, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Clark Gregg, Emile Hirsch, Forest Whitaker, and Jon Bernthal.
Alex Wolff is known for his roles in Hereditary and Pig, and he had a small role in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Austin Abrams plays Ethan Lewis in Euphoria and is known for his roles as Ben in Paper Towns and Tommy Milner in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
Lewis Pullman is famous for his role as Bob in Top Gun: Maverick and recently starred with Brie Larson in the Apple TV+ series Lessons in Chemistry. John Malkovich, known for his role in In the Line of Fire, and Scoot McNairy, who plays Joe Stafford in Argo, will also star alongside Pullman and Wolff in The Line.
