The First Descendant has rolled out its latest update, version 1.3.31 (patch 1.134), bringing a mix of new content, limited-time events, and system improvements aimed at enhancing player progression. Headlined by a collaboration with Evangelion, the update introduces new missions, rewards, and gameplay features while also addressing stability concerns reported by players.

The patch is now available across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, marking one of the more content-heavy updates for the game in recent weeks.

Evangelion Collaboration Adds New Missions and Rewards

The biggest highlight of the update is the Evangelion collaboration event, which introduces themed missions and exclusive rewards. Players can complete daily and weekly objectives to earn NERV Tokens, a new event currency that can be exchanged for items through the BB-On NPC in Albion.

Unlike many limited-time currencies, NERV Tokens will remain in player inventories even after the event ends, offering more flexibility in how rewards are redeemed. However, items obtained through the exchange system cannot be returned or swapped, encouraging players to plan their purchases carefully.

The event runs until July 29, 2026, giving players several weeks to participate and collect rewards tied to the crossover.

Valby-Themed Events Bring Login Rewards and Activities

In addition to the collaboration, the update introduces multiple Valby-themed events. As part of the “Sea Day” celebration, players can receive special login rewards simply by accessing the game during the event period.

These rewards include items featuring Aquan, Valby’s mascot, and are distributed through a daily attendance system. Players can continue collecting rewards as they log in each day, with progress resetting at regular intervals.

Another event tied to Valby includes mission-based objectives that grant valuable resources such as Crystals and Core items. These additions provide consistent incentives for players to log in and engage with the game over time.

New Weapon Upgrade Missions Expand Progression

The update also introduces Ultimate Weapon Upgrade Mission II, a set of weekly missions accessible through the NPC Eckert. These missions allow players to earn materials such as Weapon Augmentation Core VI and VII, which are essential for enhancing gear.

One notable improvement is that mission progress is counted even if players choose not to apply specific upgrade options. This change reduces friction in the progression system and allows for more flexibility in how players approach weapon customization.

The missions reset weekly, encouraging ongoing participation throughout the event period.

Research and Progression Systems Get a Boost

To further streamline gameplay, the update includes the “Accelerate Research Week” feature. During this event, completing specific activities reduces the remaining time for ongoing research projects.

These reductions can stack with other active bonuses, significantly speeding up progression. Players can check detailed information about available boosts through in-game menus, making it easier to plan their activities efficiently.

In addition, the “Descendant’s Weekend” event introduces temporary boosts that enhance progression across multiple activities. These bonuses stack with existing effects, allowing players to maximize rewards during the event window.

Stability Improvements and Ongoing Fixes

Alongside new content, the update also addresses various technical issues. Recent patches had already tackled problems such as players being unable to join mid-session, and version 1.3.31 continues that effort with additional fixes and performance improvements.

While some server-related concerns may still persist, the latest update aims to improve overall stability and gameplay consistency.
