PlayStation has officially revealed its plans for San Diego Comic-Con 2026, and God of War Laufey is set to be one of the convention’s biggest attractions. Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the upcoming PlayStation 5 title will receive its first major panel since its reveal, giving fans a closer look at its new heroes, development process, and performance capture work.
The presentation will be joined by key developers from Santa Monica Studio alongside members of the game’s cast, making it one of PlayStation’s headline events at Comic-Con.
God of War Laufey panel promises new details on the game’s heroes

The God of War Laufey – Forging God of War’s Next Heroes panel is scheduled for Friday, July 24, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM PT in Ballroom 20 at the San Diego Convention Center.
Leading the discussion will be Game Director Ariel Lawrence and Santa Monica Studio Head of Creative Cory Barlog, who will be joined by Deborah Ann Woll (Laufey), Chris Judge (Kratos), Jack Quaid (Phranque), and Perlina Lau (Rue). According to PlayStation, the panel marks the first time the cast has appeared together since the game’s reveal.
Sony says attendees can expect
“new details about the heroes of God of War Laufey, including behind-the-scenes insights from development and the performance capture that brings each character to life.”
While Sony has not announced whether new gameplay will be shown, the dedicated developer session suggests fans will get a deeper look at the game’s world, characters, and creative direction.
Marvel’s Wolverine and MARVEL Tōkon also headline PlayStation’s Comic-Con plans

Before the God of War Laufey presentation, PlayStation will host two additional panels on Thursday, July 23.
Marvel’s Wolverine – Deep Cuts will feature Insomniac Games Creative Director Marcus Smith, Game Director Mike Daly, Narrative Director Walt Williams, Senior Project Director Jess Reiner-Reed, along with Liam McIntyre, who voices Wolverine, Krizia Bajos (Jean Grey), and Marvel Games Executive Producer Eric Monacelli. The panel promises “exciting new details” and “exclusive never-before-seen content” from the upcoming PS5 title.
PlayStation will also spotlight MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, where developers from Arc System Works and Marvel Games will discuss the game’s development while teasing behind-the-scenes content and surprise announcements.
PlayStation expands its presence across Comic-Con
Beyond the panels, PlayStation is organizing several fan activities throughout Comic-Con. Visitors can stop by the Marvel Booth for Marvel’s Wolverine photo opportunities, collectible giveaway items, and a free Marvel’s Wolverine Prequel Comic while supplies last.
Fans can also find a Marvel’s Wolverine-themed San Diego Trolley, visit the Omni Hotel Lawn for themed experiences, or head to the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina to play MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls and take photos with Doctor Doom and Storm statues.
Although God of War Laufey remains the centerpiece of PlayStation’s Comic-Con lineup, the event highlights Sony’s broader slate of upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusives. For fans eager to learn more about Santa Monica Studio’s next chapter, the July 24 panel is shaping up to be one of Comic-Con 2026’s most anticipated gaming presentations.
