Nexon has released its latest anti-cheat enforcement report for The First Descendant, revealing that 10 players received permanent bans during the latest crackdown while hundreds more were penalized for abnormal gameplay. Covering the period between July 17 and July 23, 2026 (PDT), the report outlines the developer’s continued efforts to maintain fair play across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.
The latest enforcement targeted multiple forms of rule violations, including the use of unauthorized software, abuse of the game’s payment systems, and suspicious gameplay activity.
Nexon also encouraged players to continue reporting disruptive behavior through the in-game reporting feature, stating that community reports remain an important part of identifying offenders.
The company said it will continue monitoring player activity and taking action in accordance with its operational policies to ensure a fair environment for all Descendants.
Nexon issues permanent bans and matchmaking penalties
According to the official update, seven accounts were permanently banned for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs. Another three players received permanent bans for exploiting processes related to The First Descendant’s Open Store, resulting in unfair gains through the payment system.
The crackdown also addressed unusual gameplay activity. Nexon handed one player a 30-day game access restriction, while 377 additional players received three-day separate matchmaking penalties after abnormal gameplay behavior was detected.
In its announcement, Nexon told players,
“We’re inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.”
The developer also urged anyone who encounters suspicious behavior to report it using the game’s built-in reporting tools.
For players who believe they were incorrectly penalized for Open Store exploitation, Nexon said they can submit an appeal through the official customer support system. Those affected by payment-related chargeback claims are advised to contact the platform store where the transaction was made.
The company concluded by reaffirming its commitment to regular enforcement actions, stating that it will continue working to provide a fair and enjoyable experience for the entire The First Descendant community.
