The chapter opens up with Yvelina The Saintess making an appearance in front of the general public after a long time. As Yvelina approaches the gates, Latban appears and offers to stand by her side as her guard. Yvelina feels puzzled after seeing Latban trying to defend her even though he hates her, but Latban soon makes it clear that he’s just doing his duty.
Yvelina remembers that Latban is a knight who always does his best to fulfill his duty no matter how much he hates the Saintess. She places her hand on Latban’s warm and gentle hand and asks him to take good care of her. Outside the Palace, the general public cheer and shout for the Saintess’ arrival; several trumpets are also blown to increase the hype. Yvelina finally appears on the stage alongside Latban, and her followers start reciting some poems in her honor.
Yvelina feels surprised after seeing all the public because she only read about the position of the Saintess in the novel, but now she’s finally experiencing it. She wonders why being welcomed by so many people was nothing to the original Yvelina. The Priest asks Yvelina to just bless a few people and push aside the rest of them. Yvelina feels conflicted because even though she wants to help everyone, it just isn’t possible to do so. After all, some things can’t be fixed even with divine powers. She tries to talk with the crowd, but they suddenly become violent. The Knights try to keep the crowd away from Yvelina, but they get pushed back.
Yvelina notices an old person in the crowd, so she asks Latban to bring him to her even though the Priest warns her that it might be dangerous. As soon as the old man gets close to Yvelina, he starts cussing at her and calls her a slut who sleeps with several men. Yvelina gets taken aback upon hearing such disgusting accusations from someone she wants to help.
The crowd hears the accusations and gets even more violent. The rumors spread rapidly, and everyone starts wondering if the Saintess truly lacks character. Yvelina falls in deep despair as she wonders if all her efforts are in vain. She wonders if, in the end, everything would go according to what was written in the novel.
Yvelina walks away from the Knights protecting her, which shocks everyone. She slowly walks towards the old man with a confident expression. Yvelina thinks that if everything is going to happen according to the book, regardless of what she does, she should just do whatever she wants to do. She looks at the old man and asks him if he wants to be blessed by her.
