The Company You Keep Synopsis
The series has been appreciated for its evenly and meticulous writing and detailing of all the characters. The dishonesty of the characters is shown accurately. The lead couple doesn’t have things going in their favor. The man is a hardcore criminal, while the female is a CIA agent and comes from a distinguished family. The scene which won the hearts of the public is when they both are heartbroken and meet at a bar.
Emma is busy with her work. She’s a dedicated CIA agent, but her personal life is in turmoil. She learns that her boyfriend is cheating on her. She is enraged by the revelation and goes to confront the girl.
On the other hand, Charlie and his family are having a gala time at a bar. But the happiness and celebrations turn sour when Charlie realizes that his fiancee ran away after stealing all his money. This shatters Charlie.
They are heartbroken and discuss the situations of their lives. In a drunken state, both reveal their true identities to each other. They have a heartfelt conversation the whole night. The episode ends as Daphne tells Charlie to steal money and get the remaining funds.
