Recap Of The Capture Season 2 Episode 5
Before the release of The Capture Season 2 Episode 6, here is the recap of the previous episode. As the episode begins, Isaac Turner answers the hotel door to find his cocky former aide Rhys Edwards (Harry Mitchell) waiting for him, claiming that “they” sent him to find Isaac and that he only found out the whole truth the day before… Isaac wonders who “they” are. Following the opening titles, Isaac returns home and dismisses Carey’s calls. Isaac’s wife Simone (Charlie Murphy) questions his actions, which he rationalizes.
Meanwhile, Garland leads a team to Frank Napier’s CIA station and establishes a base there. He informs her of Carey’s conversation with her sister Abi (Daisy Waterstone) and her look at the camera after Shaun Emery is mentioned – she is aware she is being watched. Isaac takes Carey’s burner phone and returns to the Home Office while Carey publicizes his location. Inside the Home Office, Isaac discusses his improved polling numbers with his aides and hopes to bury the story about obstructing Victoria Bello’s application to enter the UK. Isaac inquires his aide Aliza Clarke (Natalie Dew), about the application.

Gregory Knox, the CEO of Truro Analytics, is involved in the conspiracy surrounding Isaac Turner. Still, it is all to convert him to his side eventually and then put him in a position of power and help to serve the company’s interests. Furthermore, Knox appears to be in contact with the CIA and at least a portion of the British Secret Service if he has provided them with evidence relating to Nikolai Mersky.
On the surface, Napier and Garland appear to be working with Knox to apprehend Carey, kill Mersky, and prevent the Chinese company from obtaining the British security contract. However, in the world of espionage, we can never be certain of anyone’s true loyalties. The main questions are whether Carey can get out of this, whether Isaac Turner has truly become blinded by the potential for true political power, and how aware the British and American security services are of Truro Analytics’ manipulations.
The conclusion is approaching…
