As Eli’s plan of gentrifying the Black Hamptons moves forward, the Brittons and Johnsons are at risk of losing their control over the area. Malcolm and Vaness are ready to enjoy their cozy summer soiree at a yacht soon, but entertaining chaos and drama unexpectedly happen during the party.
The brains behind this BET series is Carl Weber, the same man behind the 2018 series “The Family Business.” The Black Hamptons is a tale of two rival families living in the same neighborhood. This part of the Hamptons is filled with rich black families who enjoy a luxurious life with no hardships.
As the two families try to one-up each other, we get to see the various dark secrets, betrayals, and other such events that happen in the Black Hamptons. The Britons are known for their old money and are led by Carolyn Britton.
When the new money Johnsons, led by Sidney and Anthony, move in next door, the two families immediately become each other’s enemies and try to cause each other’s downfalls.
So far, the two families have done everything to ruin the other’s reputations. While bitter feelings do exist between the Johnsons and the Brittons, there is so much more that goes on behind the curtains that makes this entertaining animosity even more interesting.
Cast members from the first season of The Black Hamptons, such as Vanessa Bell Calloway, in the role of Carolyn. Lamman Rucker as Anthony Johnson, Elise Neal in the role of Sydney Johnsons, and many other main protagonists will return for the new season.
New cast members who’ll be a part of this Carl Weber show for season 2 are RonReaco Lee playing Bobby Boyd, Blue Kimble as Christopher, and Richard Lawson portraying Moses.
The Black Hamptons Season 2 Episode 3: Recap
So far in The Black Hamptons, we’ve seen the dramatic bidding war ensue at the annual charity auction, where the Brittons and the Johnsons started betting huge amounts just to get the other to lose in front of everyone else. Anthony and Vanessa get into a business relationship and decide to keep it hidden.
Carolyn and Christopher have a similar thing going on, but everything changes, and they end up in a much more intimate relationship. Sydney knows Vanessa’s up to something and decides to confront her head-on.
After his conversation with Sergeant Lane doesn’t go the way he wanted it to, Bobby decides to change his plans and instead convince Peter to become a part of his boxing promotional team. Carolyn is made aware that Eli now plans to buy various properties in the Black Hamptons and turn them into housing projects or other business ventures.
While this was done so that things could be more affordable in the Black Hamptons, Carolyn believes it would cause immediate gentrification of this area that she and her family held close to their heart.
Seeing how she reacted to Eli’s plans, Carolyn will do her best to stop this from happening, although there’s more benefit for other locals if it does happen. Anthony and Vanessa’s business deals are put on hold after Anthony decides to change things up.
