TETSURYO! meet with Tetsudou Musume is officially joining HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 anime lineup, bringing a new railway-themed slice-of-life story to fans later this year. Based on TOMYTEC’s long-running Tetsudou Musume, or Railway Girls, franchise, the original anime celebrates the property’s 20th anniversary with a story centered on four female university students. The series will debut exclusively on HIDIVE in October 2026 across the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Before its streaming debut, TETSURYO! meet with Tetsudou Musume will receive its world premiere at Anime NYC on August 21. HIDIVE has also released an official English-subtitled trailer, giving viewers their first substantial look at the upcoming railway adventure. With its focus on travel, friendship and finding a personal passion, the series is positioned as a gentle addition to the Fall 2026 anime season.

TETSURYO! meet with Tetsudou Musume Story and Fall 2026 Release Details

The story follows Misaki Sata, a university student who feels the need to escape her ordinary everyday life and travel somewhere new. Although she does not know what she wants to become in the future, Misaki is determined to discover something that genuinely excites her.

Her college journey changes after she encounters the Railway Travel Club. Meeting its members introduces Misaki to a world built around railway journeys and exploration, with her curiosity quickly turning into excitement about what lies ahead. The anime will follow Misaki alongside Kodama Orihara, Ushio Yagami and Usa Harutachi as the four students experience their university lives through train travel.

HIDIVE President John Ledford described the project as a “heartwarming journey with the Railway Girls all season long” while announcing its inclusion in the Fall 2026 simulcast lineup. The series is an original work from TOMYTEC in collaboration with Kisetsu Morita and marks a new anime expansion of the Tetsudou Musume franchise.
