Swordmaster’s Youngest Son or Geomsul Myeongga Mangnaeadeul is a manhwa written by Penguin Hwangje and illustrated by Jeewon Lee. The series started airing back in April 2022 and is still published with around 62 chapters available for readers.
This is a story of a supposed-to-be child prodigy named Jin Runcandel. Jin was born into the Runcandel family known for its members who have insane physiques and extraordinary sword skills. Runcandel family over the years followed the fundamental rules of the jungle Combat, Conquer and Control to have a grip over other people.
Jin was the youngest son of the Runcandel family but even though he was expected to be a genius swordmaster he was particularly below average. Due to this reason, he was continuously bullied by his two older brothers and was considered a disgrace in the name of the family.
At the age of 25, Jin was banished from the Runcandel family and then he wandered around aimlessly. One day on his erratic journey he found a master of magic and then he found out he was indeed talented but for magic which was considered a taboo in the Runcandel family.
Jin encounters a shadow who claims to be the king of the shadows. He tells Jin about his childhood curse which was placed on him out of a grudge and the curse put a cap on all of his abilities. The king of shadow makes a contract and gives Jin an ability that negates the effect of all curses.
Jin then tries out his sword skills again and this time he was effortlessly good. He then continues to combine his locked sword skills with the magic he learned along the way and he seemed very powerful. Unfortunately, Jin died due to an accident and finds himself back at the sword selection ceremony when he was a year old and decides to do everything right this time.
This was the overall plot for this series. It has a little effect of reincarnation and isekai but the main character just goes back in time with new skills and his current memory. Swordmaster’s Youngest Son Chapter 62: Recap
The chapter starts with Jin Runcandel trying to come up with battle plans to fight with Cashmere’s wife who is a member of the Bements Special Affairs Division and insanely powerful. The scene then shifts back to Patriarch Cyran Runcandel.
Cyran was approached by a messenger who brought the letter of Cashmere. Cyran told Cashmere to inform him about his progress with Jin and he continues to mention Jin’s sparring matches with his wife in the letter. He mentions how insanely fast Jin was evolving.
When they first started sparring Jin lost by only taking 3 hits and now when it’s only the 40th match between them Jin withstood a total of 120 hits from her. Considering that Cashmere’s wife is a part of the special affairs division this is a great feat for Jin and impressive enough to make Cyran shocked.
Then the scene shifts back to Jin where he is preparing for the next match and to our wonder, during this match Jin had improved so much in just 3 months that he was able to land a critical hit on her without taking any severe damage. Jin beat his own assumption that he needed 6 months to beat her and proceeds to do so in just three months. On this note, the chapter ends.
