Released in 2020, the film Superintelligence is a romantic comedy layered with action to add that spice. The movie was made under the direction of Ben Falcone, with the screenplay written by Steve Mallory. While the movie did not manage to make all that much of an impact on its audience, do read till the end to find out about Superintelligence’s filming locations.
Even with Warner Bros. having its back, the movie was a messy and forgettable story starring director Ben Falcone’s wife, Melissa McCarthy. While it is her fourth project with her husband, other cast members of the film are James Corden, Sarah Baker, Bobby Cannavale, Jean Smart, Sam Richardson, Jessica St. Claire, and many more.
Despite such an extensive cast, the movie turned out to be a failure, but then what could one even expect from a movie that has James Corden as its main cast? The movie has no depth, the jokes do not land and are not one bit funny, the potential of such a great cast, especially actress Melissa McCarthy, has been wasted without a thought, and the list goes on.
Superintelligence managed to earn a gross amount of five million dollars throughout the time of its release, which does not come as a surprise considering the movie is dry, humorless, and lifeless. It makes you question the thought that went into making the film, or if even there was any.

Superintelligence Filming Locations
Atlanta, Georgia
The crew and the actors went into shooting for the film Superintelligence sometime around July and wrapped up the filming by around August end. The primary shooting location for this movie was Georgia, specifically the gorgeous city of Atlanta.
The plot of the movie is set in Seattle, but the filming for the same was done nowhere close to the place. Georgia has been a popular spot for directors and producers while on the hunt for locations for their projects, and this place has been home to several hit television series and movies, including the likes of The Hunger Games, Stranger Things, and The Vampire Diaries.
While in Atlanta, the crew and actors were spotted shooting for the film in different residential areas and neighborhoods. One place featured in the film was Inman Park, situated in the east of Atlanta city. The city is more or less drowning in beautiful Victorian homes that not only add to the vibe of the city but could also be spotted in the film.
One such neighborhood was called Fairlie-Poplar, a place rich in age-old homes, which was spotted by many fans in the film. The crew revealed another filming location that they used for the film called Little Five Points, a place full of culture, art, and a popular street artist who goes by the unique name “jerkface.”
A few scenes of the film were also filmed at one place called Briarcliff Road, along with the baseball game scene, which was shot somewhere in downtown Atlanta. A hot location for food lovers and all of the shopaholics called Old Fourth Ward was also used for filming purposes and even made the final cut.
A few scenes of the movie had to be shot at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The crew made use of the Landmark Diner that sits in downtown Atlanta for its restaurant scenes. Scenes of the film were also shot on Broad Street as well.
Since the movie was made during the pre-covid era, the crew had the luxury of requesting the local people of the town to be a part of their film and take up roles as extras. While this does not happen all that much now, after the COVID pandemic, movie makers surely go through hell finding extras for their films.
Though Superintelligence was filmed in a place that has homed so many successful series and films, the failure of this one surely comes as a disappointment. Even so, make sure to check these places out if you ever find yourself nearby.
