‘Sugar Apple Fairy Tale’ is an ongoing romance-fantasy anime that has been airing since January 2023. Despite being a new anime, the series has gained much popularity because of its adventurous plotline filled with fantasy and romance.

The anime is an adaptation of its light novel version, depicting the tale of humans and fairies while highlighting its two central characters, Shall Fen Shall and Ann Halford. As it happens, the fairy race, peacefully living in harmony in the kingdom of Highland, was suddenly betrayed by the humans and enslaved them. The enslavement began by taking away their wings, which held their life energy.

Now, our female lead dreams of a day when the fairies and the humans will be able to live in harmony together. She, however, follows the profession of a Silver Sugar Master just like her mother, and to fulfill her dream, she journeys to the capital of Lewiston and joins a competition.

Ann, one day, saves a fairy named Shall Fen Shall from his ruthless fairy trader and makes him a bodyguard to accompany her throughout the journey. Ann also promises to return to Shall Fen’s wing after reaching the capital. However, as these two spend more time together on their journey, they become attached.

Recap and Review of the Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Episode 23

At the start of episode 23, we see Rafalle invading a property of silver sugar and disposing of the human owner. Then we headed back to Ann, who was preparing silver sugar for Rafalle, but he angrily destroyed all the candies she made because they weren’t up to his standards and ordered her to redo the work.

Right after this moment, Ann is visited by a little fairy, Lufus, where she poses the question of why the fairies would choose to live like this. And in answer, Lufus replied that it is better than being enslaved by humans.

Later, Ann makes silver sugar candies for Lufus, which she finds delicious, and also requests Ann to make them for their wounded allies. After their conversation, we see Keith and Jonas discussing the well-being of Ann, who has not heard from her for a very long time, but Jonas assures Keith that she is okay; it’s just her tenacious nature that she follows.

The next scene is Rafalle gathering up allies for the last time to prepare a long-waited attack on a city and retrieve the fairyland. Here, Rafelle and Challe share a conversation on how Rafelle is driven by revenge and cares less for his fellow people, let alone trusts them. He even took their wing to hold them captive. And the scene almost transferred into a fight between these two characters.

Coming back to Ann, she is caught by Rafelle when she is giving the wounded fairies her silver sugar candies. Rafelle is furious because the candies she makes for him are not as beautiful as the ones she makes for the other people. He takes her back to a room and blames her for being an obstacle for Challe. Almost getting attacked by Rafelle, she is saved by Challe, and the episode ends there.

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Episode 24 Spoilers and What to Expect

In the next episode of ‘Sugar Apple Fairy Tale,’ we will see the ultimate clash between Rafelle and Challe. As Rafelle tore up his wing, Challe seemed to be in a difficult situation to hold his ground. Despite that, he ensures Ann’s safety first and tells her to get out of the place.

Rafelle, who is driven by pure hatred for humans and revenge, is on the verge of absolute madness. He does not care about his fellow people or anyone. We also noticed humans found a trail left behind by Rafelle when he came there to retrieve silver sugar. So, in the upcoming episode, we might also witness interference from humans invading Rafelle’s place.
