The recent Emmy Award-winning show, Star Trek Prodigy, will soon upload its new episode on streaming platforms. This show is a part of the Star Trek Universe and follows a group of young aliens who find themselves in control of a giant Starfleet ship, titled The Protostar. By becoming crew members on the ship, they come across various planets and problems, while also becoming closer as a crew.
Star Trek Prodigy is the brainchild of Kevin and Dan Hageman and was launched on October 28th, 2021. After airing just 5 episodes, the show took a break and returned earlier this year on January 6th, 2022.
The animation of the show has gained huge amounts of appreciation, along with the music it offers. Due to the second part of the first season being a hit, producers behind Star Trek have announced that another season will soon be released. This comes as a relief, as the first season has reached its penultimate episode.

Star Trek Episode 17: Recap
In episode 17 from last week, we see our crew practicing to get out of the Neutral zone. Every time they try to simulate the situation of them finding a Starfleet ship, the protostar ends up attacking them. Disappointed, they all head over to have some whipped cream to lift their moods, but later see random holograms moving all over the ship.
This makes them think that something could be wrong with the Protostar’s Holodeck, but when they head over to the holodeck, they realize they never left it. Something ends up glitching in the holodeck, which causes the crew to be trapped in it. While Janeway works on it, the crew tries to find ways to escape from the hologram.
The hologram they’re trapped in , Cellar Door Society, is the one that zero usually spends his time in, and often completes small missions for fun. He informs that once he completes these missions, the holodeck automatically shuts off. They receive the mission to find the lost skeleton key, but to receive it, they first have to defeat the street punks.
After they take care of the first chapter, the next one begins, which seems to be Murf’s hologram, where he performs at a club called the Key Club. The deeper they go into the hologram, the more each of their simulations merge. This makes them think that the Holodeck has a purpose behind this entrapment.
They enter a ship hologram next, and while fighting a giant monster they figure out that there’s no key, and that they could escape the hologram by refusing to believe any of it. Once they successfully shut off the holodeck, They see that Janeway was the one behind the Holodeck’s malfunctions. Meanwhile, the real Janeway is trapped with The Diviner and The Vindicator.
