In the previous episode, we see Sung revisiting his mother after his intense journey through the S-Rank Dungeon. He reflects on his experience and realizes he needs to become stronger before returning for the Elixir of Life’s ingredients.
Later, he meets with Yoo at a cafe and agrees to take on 19 C-Rank raids, but only if they can tackle them with just the two of them. Despite Yoo’s doubts, Sung convinces him they can hire additional help as Hwang did.
Meanwhile, Hae-in undergoes training and crosses paths with a man named Yoon who seems to have something to confront her about. Yoo and his father share a conversation in a car where they discuss life before and after the gates and dungeons appear.
Yoo’s father expresses discontent with the monopoly large guilds have over dungeon-related profits and hopes to form a guild with his son to change things.
Sung tries to exceed his daily quest requirements but finds his extra efforts no longer count. He reluctantly accepts a D-Rank excursion offered by the Hunter’s Association.
Meanwhile, Song, a mentor to Sung, receives an emergency summons, and Baek discusses with Choi about being mistakenly involved in an interview.
As Joohee receives a similar message about the D-Rank mission, she vows to work harder. Let’s see when episode 9 of Solo Leveling is going to be released, the timings, the Solo Leveling Episode 8 recap, and where to watch it.
Solo Leveling Episode 8 Recap
In Solo Leveling Episode 8, Sung visits his mom and thinks about his last adventure in a dangerous dungeon. He realizes he needs to get stronger before going back for some special potion ingredients.
Later, Sung meets his friend Yoo at a café and agrees to join 19 lower-level dungeon raids with him. But Sung only wants them to do it alone, without a big team.
Yoo is worried because usually, these dungeons need eight people. Sung convinces him they can hire others like their friend Hwang did before. Yoo reluctantly agrees.
Meanwhile, another character named Hae-in trains hard and meets a guy named Yoon who has some issues with her. In a car, Yoo talks with his dad about how life changed when strange gates and dungeons appeared.
His dad doesn’t like how big guilds control everything related to dungeons and hunters. He hopes to start a guild with Yoo to change things. Sung tries to do extra tasks to level up but finds out they don’t count anymore.
He gets an email about a D-Rank mission from the Hunter’s Association, which he takes reluctantly. Song, Sung’s mentor, gets an urgent call, and Baek, another character, visits Choi, upset about being involved in something he shouldn’t have.
Joohee, another character, gets a similar message about the D-Rank mission. She decides to work harder after seeing Sung’s dedication. Hae-in refuses an offer to be a guild leader but asks Choi about his talk with Baek.
Baek reflects on a failed mission and Choi’s determination to fix it. Song meets Sung, and they talk about their plans for the D-Rank mission.
They notice Joohee, Park, and someone else also joining. Some C-Rank prisoners are brought along as substitutes because there aren’t enough people to go on the mission.
An inspector named Kang promises to keep them in line. Song asks Sung to lead the group, and Sung agrees. The episode ends with them heading into the dungeon.
