Shooting Stars: All About the Press Conference
The cast of the drama series “Shooting Stars” united together for an online press conference on April 20, 2022. Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae, Yoon Jong Hoon, Kim Yoon Hye, Sojin, Lee Jung Shin, and producing director Lee Soo Hyun were seen together at the press conference.
Talking about different aspects of the drama series in the press conference, producing director Lee Soo Hyun pointed out how “Shooting Stars” is different from other dramas. He said that he had added elements of a sitcom while narrating the stories of people engaged on multiple occasions in a very unique and dramatic way. He also mentioned the diverse cameos that are going to be seen in every episode of the series.
Actress Lee Sung Kyung shared his thoughts about the script of the series, saying that seeing the script for the first time felt like she was in Star Force Entertainment. Every detail was highlighted in an impressive way, and she related to all of them in a good way. Another thing that impressed her was that the show captured realistic details and the difficulties that were experienced by her own entertainment agency.
Continuing further, she shared that the show’s plot matches 95% with the actual entertainment industry. Elaborating on the relationship between a PR team manager and a celebrity, Sung Kyung said that Han Byul’s job is a way to be busy, and it is impossible to find the time for anything. She pointed out that things were easy for Han Byul and Tae Sung because they knew each other from the past.
Next, Kim Young Dae talked about getting his first leading role. He said that he always felt overwhelming gratitude for all the staff members around him. He always wondered how he should approach a particular scene. Looking at all the top stars around him, i.e., Lee Sung Kyung and Yoon Jong Hoon, he learned a lot.
Yoon Jong Hoon shared that he always went around the set to the actors he was in charge of. He also realized that this work is something not everyone can do as it requires lots of sincerity. Moreover, he also revealed that he and Kim Young Dae are really close to each other as they were starred together in “The Penthouse”.
Kim Yoon Hye talked about her role as manager Ho Young and said that she tried acting naturally by looking at real managers. It wasn’t a really difficult thing to do, but she worked a lot on her speech. She pointed out that the director helped her a lot with everything.
Sojin talked about how she was not actually aware of the lives of the reporters even though she did several interviews with them on a daily basis. In her role, she got to see the entertainment industry through the eyes of a reporter. Talking and working like them made her realize that it takes a lot to not mix up personal feelings with professional ones.
Lastly, Lee Jung Shin shared that he paid extreme attention to his appearance as everyone around him, i.e., his co-stars, are really handsome. This is his first time playing a lawyer, and thus he looked through a book that was given to him by the scriptwriter, and that indeed helped him a lot.
