Food Network will launch Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays, a four-part series of brand-new specials featuring international superstar Selena Gomez, on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 8|7c. This year’s holiday roster is incredible.
Gomez is a successful musician, actress, businesswoman, and philanthropist, but during the holidays, she brings in the pros to help polish her cooking abilities. For them to prepare the ideal holiday dinners to share with friends and family, she has invited celebrity chefs Eric Adjepong, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michael Symon, and Claudette Zepeda this year.
They will bring their favorite recipes and culinary knowledge to her home kitchen. To make the season fantastic, the chefs will put Selena and her closest friend, Raquelle Stevens, through their paces in the kitchen throughout the four specials. For a tree-trimming celebration, Selena and Chef Alex Guarnaschelli make roast beef and “Chantilly” mashed potatoes in Selena + Alex.
Michael Symon stops over for a “Surf & Turf” Christmas in Selena + Michael, where he and Selena cook steaks and lobster. Chef Claudette Zepeda of Selena & Claudette curates a Mexican feast that includes tamales, a classic Latin Christmas meal, and a creative take on a historic salad.
Next, at Selena + Eric, Chef Eric Adjepong will host a brunch, including Shrimp and banana Grits and Malva Pudding, to celebrate the start of a new year. This is a family affair thanks to special guest appearances by Gomez’s sister Gracie, mother Nana, and father.
“Food Network is the holiday destination for viewers and their families, with an incredible festive programming slate all season long,” stated Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery. It’s a holiday dream come true for fans that celebrity Selena Gomez, who has over 650 million followers on social media, opens her home kitchen! Food Network celebrates the holidays by offering special culinary moments.
Recap
Chef Alex Guarnaschelli is welcomed by Selena Gomez to assist her in preparing a feast for her tree-trimming celebration. Selena and Alex cook a decadent feast that includes Creamy Marinara, Fried Mozzarella Sticks, “Chantilly” Mashed Potatoes with whipped cream, Black Pepper Roast Beef and Gravy, and Chocolate Candy Cane Bark for dessert as the family decorates.
A very important person receives a video call from Alex and Selena. Selena’s friends and family later join the group to partake in the feast and take in the tree. Chef Michael Symon and Selena Gomez are in the kitchen this Christmas Eve, enjoying a surf and turf meal.
They become friends over a common struggle before delving into a feast that features opulent lobster with homemade pasta and enormous, succulent steaks that have been smoked and reverse-seared. While an escarole salad with anchovy vinaigrette and croutons challenges Selena to get beyond a mental block, Raquelle helps by consuming as much cheese as she can grate.
For the holidays, Selena Gomez and Chef Claudette Zepeda cook a feast of Mexican food. By preparing the traditional Latin Christmas feast of tamales with spicy pig stuffing, Claudette transports Selena back to her childhood.
To assist Selena and Raquelle in getting through the remainder of the festive menu, which includes Roast Ham with Salsa Matcha, Charred Poblano Rice, and a distinctively Mexican take on a classic salad, Claudette teaches them some “kitchen yoga” while they cook.

Chef Eric Adjepong helps Selena Gomez ring in the new year by bringing his bold, varied dishes to a New Year’s Day brunch. Scallop Benedict, Kusshi Oysters with Champagne Mignonette, and Shrimp and Banana Grits put Selena’s culinary prowess to the test.
A New Year’s custom that ends with plates shattered all over Selena’s front porch is suggested by her friend Raquelle. One of Chef Eric’s all-time favorites, the delectably sweet and fruity Malva Pudding, tops off the meal.
