Seiken Gakurin no Maken Tsukai Chapter 29 Recap

Seiken Gakurin no Maken Tsukai Chapter 29 begins with Selia looking worried and trying to wake up Leonis, who is wounded. In his weakened state, Leonis can only think of how beautiful his familiar Selia is, until he remembers how the demon sword Dainslief resonated with the monster. This is strange because it could only resonate with the goddess who created it.

Leonis is horrified by the possibility of the goddess being reincarnated inside the monster. Suddenly, he starts having a vision of a lost memory of him speaking with Roselia. Roselia wants him to make a promise that if she is reincarnated into something entirely different from herself in the future, Leonis must kill her with the demon sword.

Leonis is appalled and says he could never do that, but Roselia casts a spell on him so he can remember her wish and his promise when the time comes. She also requests him to find the real her with the help of his demon sword after killing the fake reincarnation.

Leonis wakes up in the present to find Selia sucking his blood and returning it with induced mana. Selia calms Leonis down and promises to help him find Roselia. Stepping forward before the monsters, Selia heads into the battle first. The monster attacks them, and Leonis calls for Selia, concerned about her safety when she is already standing in her tattered clothes but still willing to protect Leonis in his vulnerable state.

Looking at her, Leonis is ashamed of himself and questions what he has been doing all this time when he can’t even fulfill Roselia’s wish. Now, he is hiding behind his familiar’s back. A void that had cornered Selia was smashed by Leonis, who appeared back in the battle. Leonis apologizes to Selia for making her worry and tells her to leave it up to him, giving her the task of killing as many voids as possible in the meantime.
