TLC has a knack for making reality dating shows about people from all walks of life, big fat women, little people, polygamous relationships, e.g., one dude, many girls, or in the case of Seeking Brother Husband, one gal, many guys.
The debut season of this polyandric dating show puts us in the orbit of several women who date and live with multiple men or want to incorporate another man into their relationship, and we get to see all the problems this creates.
The show kicked off in early March on a primetime schedule for Sunday nights, but so far, it has failed to impress; I’ll delve deeper into this issue in the review section of this piece, but I can tell you that after seeing so many dating shows on TLC, their “rinse and repeat” approach isn’t living up to my expectations anymore. Moving on, the last episode was full of tension for all partners; there are insecurities, jealousies, and drama on the way; how will this season end?
Seeking Brother Husband Episode 4 Recap
Elisa and Mike are not within the dynamic of the show; while everyone else has another partner, this couple still hasn’t incorporated another person into their lives. Moreover, Elisa looks like the villain all the time, she keeps reminding Mike that it was his idea to bring more people into the relationship, but that’s just not the case because she went out with someone else without his consent.
Chara Wants A Baby
We move on to Chara, Patrick, and Noble, Chara wants a baby, but Patrick doesn’t want to have one because he already has kids. They have to get their ducks in a row because they’re living in the same house, and the logistics of having a kid with someone else without consent while living in the same house doesn’t quite play out.
Kim’s Relationship With Dustin and Vinson
We don’t see much of Vinson since the follow-up from the party. This trio is having trouble because both dudes want to keep the girl and kick the other guy out. And if they’re keeping it from the girl, tension will build up! And how can they deal with their insecurities?
Vinson tells the girl that he doesn’t want her to see other people on a dinner date, but that doesn’t fly, and now she must find a solution to the tension with her partners.

Kenya’s Dynamics With Three Other Dudes
Tiger, Carl, and now David! are with Kenya. It starts off with Kenya all warm and fuzzy to Tiger about how she’s incorporating David into the relationship. Meanwhile, Carl is emotionally absent from the dynamic —because he has kids with other women to raise. David was supposed to be the second brother’s husband because he dated Kenya in the past, and she kept that in the dark for the other two, who think it is unfair.
David says he’s changed, and Carl has strong opinions about the dude coming on board; the issue of finances comes up, as it seems David doesn’t want to put money on the table because he wants to take care of his mom. Carl finds this selfish, and there’s tension in the environment, but Kenya couldn’t care less as she wants more men around her.
Seeking Brother Husband Episode 4 Review
It looks like it’s going to be a six-episode season; the reception of this show doesn’t look good, the critics are fatal, and after watching the first episodes, I concur. Moving on, if we look at the TLC calendar and the DVR, the show is only listed this month, and it’s not there in May. Setting these things aside, Everyone in the show is a villain and sad. The women look extremely selfish, and when someone expresses their concerns, they go like: “This is who I am, so tough luck.”
As I said in the introduction, the so-many-times repeated theme of TLC’s dating shows featuring multiple is becoming exhausting. If you already saw one show, this one brings pretty much the same thing to the table: A look at people dating multiple people with the ensuing insecurities and prejudices that arise from such choices. If that’s your cup of tea, fine by me, but I think that the general public is getting fed up with this.
